Lets get one thing out of the way first – the question of why do we need a headset? If you are listening to music only, you would simply go for a pair or headphones or earphones. Most of us would use the microphone which comes built into our laptops, mobile phones and other devices today. Almost all mobile devices now come with built in speakers and microphones, so why get a separate unit to clutter our lives further still?
But these alternatives do have their drawbacks. Stereo headphones will enable you to listen to everything, but have you really tried talking at the same time? I think more often you will be repeating loudly to all in the vicinity – “CAN YOU HEAR ME?” And, the built-in mics of most devices today are usually just added on as after-thoughts and don’t really perform as you would expect.
And not to mention too, this is an essential piece of weaponry for the armchair warrior who spends countless days on his gaming machine, with the only social life being chatting with his online gaming clan. Indeed, such a sociopath cannot afford to have his headset break down or fail on him. It is his only link other humans out there.
So, there is still a need for a device which can do both – listen and talk. In this respect, the NX70 Multimedia Headset from Noisehush works well and satisfies these needs. Let me elaborate a bit more.

While I have a personal distaste for the prosumer blend, the reality is that the lines between professional and consumer grade electronics equipment is quickly vanishing. With network attached storage devices growing in popularity and larger switches being used to connect almost every appliance imaginable to home networks, the problem of where to house all this gear comes to the fore.

 After reviewing their Diablo III-themed Sibera V2 headset, I was thrilled to get in touch with SteelSeries again to see what other audio candy they had to offer. They were happy to get in touch with a few more models, the first of which is this one: The 7H Fnatic Edition stereo headset.

Recently we needed to move files from one laptop to another and even though there are several ways of accomplishing that, we were able to do this in a most elegant way with a wormhole. A what?
Wormholes are always associated with shortcuts you can take through space-if the theory is correct…

So the naming of this latest J5create product is rather telling: it suggests a fast and easy way through cyberspace with two connected computers.

Samsung galaxy tab GT-P1000N

Well, we considered that we picked a good tablet last time, so let’s see how we fare with the Samsung Galaxy GT P1000N 16GB Next G and Wi Fi.

Once again, not Ice Cream Sandwich, but this one is a bit more suited to the “fairer sex” for hand span size. We deliberately went for the 7” because it is slightly narrower against the 7.7”and we believe that these two tablets will cater nicely for male or female alike.

Samsung galaxy tablet 7.7

Whilst the operating system was not Ice Cream Sandwich at time of testing, instead being loaded with Honeycomb 3.2, we found it works a treat. We are referring to one of the new Galaxy Tablets from Samsung – at 7.7” it’s easy to hold but sizable enough to make it suitable for those people whose eyesight isn’t quite flash enough to read the telephone book in subdued light.

Our intention with this review is to evaluate the 7.7” Samsung Galaxy tablet from a slightly different perspective than other reviewers.  We intend to try and assist those readers out there who are of differing minds as to what to buy - Size? Purpose? Function? Brand? Price?

So read on and we will tell it how it is!

it was only a few months ago that we had a good look at the Foldi Lamp from Daylight, a very handy small desk lamp with natural daylight LEDs. We were quite impressed with the difference it makes if you need to do colour matching. And in the good tradition of the Mythbusters, we need to upscale the test! So today we are reviewing a much bigger Magnifying Lamp from the Daylight Company.
