Right: the drive that contains YOUR data!
And yet we give so little attention to which company we entrust our digital life to and to preserve it.

I’ve had countless hard drives and SSDs fail in working with computers for more than 40 years.
So, let’s have a look into an amazing piece of technology, courtesy of Seagate, as we are building and testing a Surveillance Station based on a Synology NAS.

Read more: Logi MX Keys - Low profile but with a big personalityFor my next trick, I am writing the most challenging review I have had done to date. The Logi MX Keys landed on my desk as an early Christmas present, a desk which was dismantled shortly after and packed for a staged move to a house which is still not ready for habitation. Nevertheless at DRN we press on in the face of challenges and bring you our thoughts on the MX Keys.

This is our third Show of Travelon products that have a well-earned reputation of bringing out travel gear that is not only stylish and what you want to carry on you but practical in the extreme. That means lightweight, heavy-duty and, in the last few years with a focus on safety and security (anti-theft).

In previous years we reviewed about half a dozen products at the time. This year, thanks to the generosity of the Travelon Team, we’ll have to split it in 2 sections as we have about a dozen products from their humongous range of travel bags and accessories.

Today we bring you the AT Active Day Backpack, a Slim Bag from the Boho Collection and the AT 4-wheel Carry-On.

With these items, knowing that your gear is secure, you can now fasten your seatbelts so that you too are secure!

Read more: Australian Bushfire Season 2019-2020It is rare for me to not reasonably inform of current events. With the holiday season devoted to a renovation and a house move, I only stop to spend some precious moment with my family. It is much to my dismay and horror to realise the full extent of the devastation that Australia is facing.

Waterfield Mezzo Backpack Launch

Read more: Waterfield Mezzo Backpack LaunchQuite some time ago, I reviewed a Waterfield tablet case and came away extremely impressed with the quality and finish. To ring in a new year, they have launched the Mezzo Laptop Backpack. Waterfield describes it as "a sophisticated midsized pack with padded laptop and tablet compartments, large water-bottle pockets on either side, and a front, pleated pocket inspired by old-world saddle pouches that closes with a sumptuous, full-grain leather flap." Judging by the picture, it certainly looks the goods!

Firstly, I would like to thank Martin and Arjan for building a solid platform with DigitalReviews.Net (DRN), and keeping me in the DRN family for the last 13 years. I still remember my "job interview" in 2007 - somehow scoring one of the GPS HUD units to review and I had my '06 Saab 93 Aero (the last of the true Saabs before the GM parts bin completely took over.)

New beginnings and fresh starts are always exciting and after a decade and a half at the helm of this review site it’s time for me to step down.
It’s no early retirement for me at 72 as I’ll keep on writing and contributing to the website I started as PocketPCReviews and which soon outgrew that pre-smartphone segment.

So we renamed it to (DRN for short) and kept growing. My son Arjan has been the webmaster from the very beginning and every few years redesigned the site to keep it up to date.

It was great to develop relationships with manufacturers and tech companies and their representatives to the point where they often would send us the latest and greatest in their new product range. We’ve had many a scoop review and high rankings in Google Search.

Please click on READ MORE below to see what’s ahead (and WHO is the head) of DRN going forward...
