It’s been a long time since I have used CoPilot that came preinstalled on a Windows mobile device several years ago. I had been using the Windows Mobile platform along with various GPS applications that included TomTom, Destinator, IGO8 and others for nearly a decade that all started with the introduction of the HTC XDA.
Today, we are reviewing the latest navigation software from CoPilot: the Live Premium edition, courtesy of the folks at ALK, the creators of CoPilot.

Focke Wulf
We did some research and asked Kellettshobbies for the popular ST Models Fox Glider 1800 BNF just to see why and if this glider is really as good as people say it is. Next we will “sus’ out” a new arrival war plane - the BNF ST Focke Wulf 190A. Complete with wheel retracts, this plane does not appear to have been reviewed by anyone yet so it will be interesting to see where it fits into our 23 plane Comparison review as well.

To celebrate the opening of their revamped website, Kelletts Hobbies have provided us with a sample of products from their huge stock selection. Whilst Kellets have been around since 1978, the website has just been upgraded to provide a more accessible range of hobby products for the online buyer. Kelletts are not new to supplying top boats, buggies, helicopters, planes and all spare parts and ancillaries and we also discovered they even generally stock all the winning planes that featured in our 23 plane comparison shown on this site under “Best RC Electric Planes Compared”.

But this time we have got something different, so read on!

NoiseHush

Earlier we reviewed a bluetooth car speaker from NoiseHush which performed quite well so we thought to have a look at their latest stereo headset, the NX80.
Two things stand out: yes, that colour! The cables are a flamingo red, I suppose. Not too gaudy and easily found in the mishmash of wires and cables that clutter my desk.
The other thing is the cables are also flat to ensure they stay tangle free. A few of the standard headsets that came with my mobile phones frustrated me quite a bit when I had to unravel them every time! So the NX80 scores a big plus here.

Last year our dog was killed by a tiger snake. Ever since that time I have been on the lookout for a snake repelling system that's effective and not too expensive. I think I may have found such a system: the Snake Defense MP Plus. Courtesy of Derwent Traders who sent me a number of these units we are now in a position to try them out and report on how we go. The way the Snake Defense MP Plus system works is based on sound principles (in more ways than one!) and doesn't look like snake oil….

For businesses and private users with desktops an Uninterruptible Power Supply is an essential element to protecting their data equipment. We'll see why in a moment. Today we are reviewing two similar UPS units from KStar Australia: they are both 1kVA units but one of them is a rack mounted version. If you have been following our recent reviews of rack mounted units, this UPS is one of the essential components in the cabinet. Let's have a close look at both units.

Promise Pegasus R6
I still remember purchasing my first computer in the mid 1990s with its massive 400MB hard disk drive. Some fifteen years on, the Pegasus R6 provides home users with 12 Terabytes of directly attached RAID storage. And the amazing part is that the actual storage space isn't the R6's biggest draw! Utilizing Intel's Thunderbolt technology, Promise Technologies delivers all those Terabytes at blazing fast speeds.

Read more...We have a number of licenses to give away for the new CoPilot Live Premium Australia which has recently been announced for the Android and iPhone platforms.

I've always been a fan of this great looking navigation program -despite the fact that the maps were rather out of date when CoPilot Live 8 came out a while ago.

Hopefully that has all been fixed but what got me more excited is the Alternate Routing this app can generate for you. Up till now it didn't always create the very best route and to have some alternatives is great!

If you want to get yourself a free license of the new CoPilot Premium for Oz and Nz, send me an email via the Contact Us section of the site.

The first 5 to respond will get a licence if you agree to give me some feedback on your experiences with the program within the next 4 weeks.

I'm looking for a few paragraphs of the Good, the Bad and the iWish points...

Indicate please which you prefer:  either the Android or iPhone version.

The Essential is a dedicated Media Player from the AC Ryan family, who have built quite a name for themselves in this overcrowded market. We have reviewed several others of their models before (plus heaps of other Media Streamers as well) and with the moniker Essential you can pretty well guess that this is not necessarily their top model but quite a capable unit none-the-less.
And right you are!
Let’s have a quick look at its capabilities and then have a look at some of our other reviews of the PlayOn! range to find out what they have in common.
