Choosing the right motherboard is vital for the ultimate gaming machine.  The motherboard is the core piece of hardware which sets the standard of the computer's potential.  The most important components of the motherboard are its qualities and features.  ECS has provided us with the motherboard, the KN1 SLI Extreme, supporting AMD's Socket 939 Athlon 64 CPUs.  This board is packed with features for the hardcore user, but does it have the performance and reliability to match?  This can easily be determined by benchmarking it in a variety of tests to see if this motherboard is well worth its money.

For some reason our reviews of GPS receivers seem to be the more popular of our write-ups.
The very first GPS Bluetooth receiver we ever reviewed was the daddy of them all: the venerable Emtac Crux (reviewed here on our sister site nearly two years ago). Now, the new Emtac S3 Bluetooth GPS receiver from Transplant with the incredible SiRFstarIII chip set makes for interesting comparison with the original trend setter. Let's have a look at how far we have come in the past two years with this technology.

To give you an idea of where this product stands relative to ATI's current line of next generation graphics chips, it begins at the entry-level with the X1300.  At the midrange, is the X1600 series.  The X1800 and X1900 series is where we progress to the higher to highest end graphics chips on the market.  The X1300 is an entry-level graphics card which incorporates the latest Shader Model 3.0 technology to allow you to play the latest games.  At this level, it is a matter of the kind of performance and features is offered at the budget price.

 A Cranky Affair?

One of the handiest accessories I have come across lately has to be the Electrilite flashlight.
Particularly in emergencies it's great to have a flashlight that does not depend on batteries or on solar charging and which can supply your mobile phone with enough power to make those essential calls.
Is the Electrilite flashlight/charger going to be part and parcel of my overnight kit or did I have too many expectations of this device?

Samsung has been known in making LCD monitors that are fully functional and provide the latest technology while making them very affordable.  Over the past few years, we have seen a variety of Samsung monitors with the usual use of silver and black designs.  Also to mention is the faster response times which are being put in monitors these days as well as better contrast ratios and overall brightness.

Today, I will be reviewing the Samsung 970p LCD Monitor.  This monitor deviates slightly from the usual Samsung design by capturing the 'simple, yet elegant' approach.  This will be understood further in the review.  With this in mind, Samsung still manages to pack in the rest of the features such as a 6ms response time ideally making it an excellent choice for gaming as well as the razor sharp 1:1000 contrast ratio.

Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO (AGP)

Introduction
Since the release of the ATI's next generation X1000 series, ATI's graphics cards have brought higher and higher performance...more pipelines, higher clock speeds, etc.  The enthusiasm for ATI's latest cards doesn't necessarily mean that the older X100 series cards are left in the dust.  In fact, it means more affordable lower prices for the older generation.

Let's face it, not everyone can keep up with technology always.  I've had my custom computer built less than 3 years ago and the switch from the AGP interface to PCI-Express passed so quickly that it makes my system seem old already.  The good news is that there are still AGP versions of graphics cards available.

Today, I will be reviewing the Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO.  This product emphasizes overclocking on a budget.  If you are still stuck with the older AGP interface and love to overclock, this card may be for you.
