We have seen network extenders over powerlines, but how about one that does that and provide a WLAN connection on the remote end? The Aztech 85Mbps HomePlug Powerline wireless extender (HL105EW) is a Homeplug with 802.11G using Intellon 85Mbps Turbo and Infineon Wireless LAN that transforms your in-house power circuit into networking infrastructure and a WLAN connection.

Always the innovator, Brando has released this ultra tiny form factor Bluetooth dongle. The entire device is barely larger than a standard USB connector! I suspect this is done just so there is enough to hang onto to remove it from your machine.
This tiny device packs a punch with V2.0+EDR support, and a working range greater than 10 meters with a 723 Kbps data transmission rate. Further it complies with Bluetooth 1.1 and USB 1.1 specifications.

Jabra, the company that has brought us a swag of Bluetooth enabled devices over the years, has recently announced their latest designer headset. The JX20 Pura Titanium Edition built upon the legacy of the glitzy Jabra JX10 by Jacob Jensen.
Jabra claims "this headset enhances and simplifies the life of luxury, focusing on authentic materials, intuitive technology, outstanding comfort and excellence in audio. Built upon the legacy of the Jabra JX10 headset, while capitalizing on the inherent virtues of authentic titanium: power and elegance, Jacob Jensen combined sleek lines, strict symmetry and the striking contrast of materials to create this elegant headset. The body of brushed anodized titanium is offset by a deep-black, high-gloss trim. The resulting Jabra JX20 Pura is easy-to-wear and embodies luxury and mobility, class and convenience."
Detailed specifications are scarce at the moment, stayed tuned for updates.

Well it seems there are more accessories available for the iPod these days then there are shoes in the wardrobe of Imelda Marcos. Like her shoe collection, finding the right pair for an outing can be tough decision considering a lot of them do the same thing more or less.
If youre going to share your tunes, a set of portable speakers is fast becoming a must have for your iPod, but how do you find the right one for you?
It just so happens I have a first-rate little set sitting next to me, so let me tell you about it

As our digital lives increase in importance and volume, so too does the risk - and cost - of losing the data that makes it all possible.
While keeping up to date back-ups and storing your data in RAIDs is a good start, it all means nothing without an adequate supply of power - Especially during a power outage when critical equipment needs to be shutdown to avoid data loss.
Eaton's range of Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) aim to provide this power and with it, peace of mind.

With more and more data being collected by the average home user, the ability to retrieve and reliably store data has become a new challenge. The D-Link DNS-323 2-Bay Network Storage Enclosure aims to solve this problem by allowing you to store all your data in one easy to use box with RAID based reliability and Gigabit network speed.
This Gigabit connection allows the DNS-323 to easily share your documents, music, photos, and videos across the network and even over the Internet so family members, friends, or employees can access them.
Were eager to investigate just how the DNS-323 manages to accomplish this and other tasks (print sharing for one) by putting it through its paces in a detailed digital review.
The D-Link DNS-323 retails for under $400AU. For more information visit the D-Link Australia website. |

Have you ever
wondered what's behind UFOs? Or about
such sightings as Bigfoot or Yetis?
Does Area 51 pique
your interest?
The other week a most
unusual book landed on my desk called The
Nephilim Imperatives, by Terry James.
This book purports to
give a reason behind these sightings and it comes from a perspective that you
may not have expected.
It gives credence to
the existence of UFO phenomena and is an interesting read.

Okay, Ill admit it - If the G-TECH/Pro EGS was just a big rev counter that would be okay too, but it turns out that the EGS is G-TECHs latest update to its line of car performance meters.
The Expandable Gauge System (EGS) aims to provide the driver with all the information he/she could ever want in a single - aesthetically awesome - gauge. Along with the shift lights and massive rev counter, the high resolution LCD is used to display coolant temperatures, digital rev counter, performance graphs and even accelerometer data, etc.
The EGS also has a detachable control unit which can be placed closer to your hands for easy access.
Stay tuned as we try to get our hands on one of these to put it through its paces. Until then, you can head on over to GTECHs website to get more information. |
