Just when I thought I had seen and use the best Jabra has to offer in 2008, the BT530 lands on my desk with a mighty thump.  The diminutive looking BT530 Bluetooth Headset hides some interesting technology to differentiate this device from the plentiful options in the market.

The proliferation of USB drives cannot be denied.  From the early days when my first USB drive in 2000 from IBM was a whopping 8 Mb in size and expensive, the USB drive now is a commodity that is given away freely at shows.  Large capacity drives are readily and cheapily available.

USB drives have in particular found their way into the workplace due to their versatility and convenience.  It is this very ease of use that makes them a security nightmare for IT professionals.  Whilst I have yet to lose one personally, I have known many people who had and a few with of those had organisation sensitive documents on them.

The scrolling revolution has begun! Or so the team at Cyber E Sport would have us believe with their uniquely designed, wireless, doughnut shaped mouse that utilises the endless scrolling feature, familiar to generations of Ipod users, to take the humble pointing devices into the modern age. The website claims that its features, allowing users to ‘Push, squeeze and spin your way to a better navigation experience‘ make web browsing and the editing of text, audio and video easier for its users. Is this the dawning of a new age for mice as we know it, or are there disappointments in store for the dissatisfied (and mostly non-existent) mouse reformists around the globe?

All of today's high tech equipment comes with a user manual and the more complicated a piece of equipment is the thicker the manual.  And the fewer people that will actually read that… As a result most people will not know how to properly work with their equipment --  even if their lives depended on it.

Networked Attached Storage devices are all the rage these days and are invaluable for sharing data across a network with ease. Addonics's have somehow managed to create a tiny adapter that can literally turn any USB storage device into a fully fledged NAS drive.

According to the website, this device can even be used as a network print server or a Bit Torrent downloading appliance!

Imation and MTRON are arguably some of the key players when it comes to high quality memory.
With the market rapidly moving to solid-state drives we are today reviewing their latest entry into the enterprise market: the Imation MTRON PRO7500.  This SSD unit is aiming high with a claimed maximum read speed of 130MB/sec and an equally impressive write speed of 120MB/s.

Let's have an initial look at what is the hottest property for computer systems today. 

It is common for households to have more than one computers these days.  Because of that, people want to be able to share files easily.  Usually, people do this by sharing specific folders on their computer, but this requires one computer or another to be on.  This is where the utility of a networked attached storage (NAS) device comes in.  It is a central storage place that every computer on the network can access. 

Today we will be looking at the Qnap TS 209 Pro II. This is meant for small/medium businesses, but can also be used in the home office as well.  What is different with this product is that you will find it packed with many more features than just your standard NAS product.  For example, you can use it as a media or web server.  Or you can use it to download Bittorent files as well.
