If you are a fan of designer gadgets then the LaCie USB and FireWire hub "Huby" designed by Frenchman Ora-Ito is one for the collection.
Meade's mySKY is an innovative, easy to use device that allows you to learn about the night sky by literally pointing at what you want to know about. Easy.
The mySKY incorporates a GPS to auto align itself then leaves the user to literally point and learn. Information is displayed as audio, video and still photography. Incredible.
Meade claims this is the easiest way to explore the night sky, and if this device performs as described, I think I would find it hard to disagree.

Its no secret that I am no fan of Christmas - Stinking hot weather, crap television and mostly useless gifts.
While not technically useful, FirstStreet's Santa Slide Show Ornament is the perfect gift for those with children; or moreover, those with grandparents.
The Santa Slide Show Ornament is a red ball with a 1.5" LCD screen at its centre, able to show fifty of your most treasured photos. Photos are transferred to the orb via USB from your Windows (2000/XP/Vista) PC and the unit itself is powered by three AAA batteries (not included).
This unique ornament is available from FirstStreet directly for $34.95 - Just in time for Christmas.
