Computers have now evolved into a media centre in which you can listen to music, watch movies, and even play games.  With this is mind, having a good set of speakers can make the difference in your media centre experience.  Decent-sounding speakers can make music much more enjoyable as well as games more immersive.  Today, I will be reviewing Altec Lansing's MX5021 multimedia speakers.  This is a 2.1 speaker configuration (2 satellite speakers and a subwoofer) aimed at users looking for full and accurate sound.  Since these speakers are also THX certified, you can probably expect that these speakers will sound just as great when watching movies.

I’ve spent about 3 months with arguably the best-connected ultra-portable notebook in the world, most of that time on the road and all of the time the Flybook being the only computer I worked with. How did that go? Have my enthusiastic first impressions (see our July 21 review) mellowed or did I discover the Flybook is for keeps? Follow me as I put my traveling companion to work.

Logitech has been able to consistently impress consumers with their mice.  With the MX700 mouse, Logitech created a mouse that seemed to be the first wireless mouse that did not have the common flaws of ordinary wireless mice.  It was a rechargeable mouse which had little delay in tracking surfaces.  In addition, their MX510 series mouse has been popular among gamers due to it's extremely high 5.8 Megapixel per second tracking rate.  Now, Logitech has released a revolutionary product that combines aspects of those two series and more.  This product is labelled the MX1000 Laser Mouse.

Just wondering: how many folks are really interested in reviews that aim to analyse and portray all performance aspects of very similar performing products when price is probably the most important buying factor? We’re looking today at more memory cards from the leaders in this field, SanDisk and ATP, but, unlike our last foray into this area, we’ll leave out the benchmark charts this time and just make some observations on flash memory cards.

The JetAudio CW300 was a successful model due to its small size, it’s 30 hour playback on a single AAA battery, and its incredibly high sound quality with a 95db signal to noise ratio.  There were also additional features such as a built-in FM tuner and a voice recorder.  JetAudio now continues the iAUDIO series with its latest MP3 player.  Rather than naming the next device the CW400, it is simply called the iAUDIO 4.  The iAUDIO 4 boasts new features such as what they call ‘Color Sound’ as well as sound enhancements such as BBE and Mach 3 Bass ( I will talk more about these later in the review).  Let’s find out if the new iAUDIO 4 has what it takes to be a worthy successor to the CW300.
