GTECH Pro EGS
Okay, I’ll admit it - If the G-TECH/Pro EGS was just a big rev counter that would be okay too, but it turns out that the EGS is G-TECH’s latest update to its line of car performance meters.

The Expandable Gauge System (EGS) aims to provide the driver with all the information he/she could ever want in a single - aesthetically awesome - gauge. Along with the shift lights and massive rev counter, the high resolution LCD is used to display coolant temperatures, digital rev counter, performance graphs and even accelerometer data, etc.

The EGS also has a detachable control unit which can be placed closer to your hands for easy access.

Stay tuned as we try to get our hands on one of these to put it through its paces. Until then, you can head on over to GTECH’s website to get more information.

PhotoImpact X3
Ulead has updated its excellent image editing software with the release of PhotoImpact X3.

Along with the cornucopia of image manipulation features present in previous versions, X3 features a bunch of new features, including enhanced ExpressFix, comic strip and collage creation, unique cloud pen tool and as a result of Ulead's new affiliation with Corel, the inclusion of two Corel applications: Corel Painter Essentials 3 and Corel Media One media management software.

And at $99AU, PhotoImpact seems incredible value.

While we try to secure a copy for review, you can find out more (and even download a 30 day trial copy) from Ulead's international website.

Cue Acoustics Cue r1
The Cue r1 is an elegant iPod clock/radio with features a plenty and an audiophile pedigree.

Like most modern clock/radios, the r1 has an auto dimming LCD, along with dual alarms and an enhanced AM/FM tuner. Unlike most clock radios however, it features what Cue Acoustics calls, "touch sensitive" tuning which is some sort of tactile feedback mechanism.

The sound is handled by a bi-amplified 3.5 inch high-power woofer/mid-range speaker and a 3/4 inch silk dome tweeter.

The r1's dimensions are smaller than a US "Letter" sized piece of paper and it will ship with a full featured remote.

The r1 should be available in the third quarter with a retail price of $399US, but interested parties can sign up for information updates at the Cue Acoustics website today.

Navway
Like AFL, Melways is a Melbourne institution. Sure, there are other street directories out there, but there's only one Melways.

And don't think I'm joking - If you get into my car with anything else you'll be navigating on foot! Really.

For those of us who love our Melways but also have a need for gadgets, the Ausway group have finally created the Navway Professional Street Directory.

Did someone say Melways on a touchscreen GPS? - read on for more..

aquagrafx G92

Keeping heads cool is the name of the game, particularly for 8800GT card owners.

Have a look at the slick and slim G92 from aquagrafx.

Despite being just 6mm slim it weighs half a ton -- eh, make that half a kilo. Still pretty heavyduty, we reckon.

More details on this prototype from the manufacturer below.

Read more...These days it is easy to get systems with integrated almost everything.

Whilst this is great for a standard user but it is hardly a match in performance compared to a custom build one.

Asus is set to launch the Xonar U1 External Audio Processor in six colours with a promise to "improve the laptop or PC's underachieving audio", as stated in their press release.

Read more...Another day, another GPS receiver manufacturer, rebrander, it seems.

Ever heard of the name Gosget?  Me neither.

There is no excuse for ignorance so we looked up some details for you.

The brand is being launched by SeeYou.com in Taiwan but their website doesn't seem to be operational yet.  They are launching three Bluetooth GPS receivers:
Gosget MB-588 Bluetooth GPS receiver
Gosget MB-688L Bluetooth GPS receiver + Data Logger
Gosget MB-988SL Solar Bluetooth GPS receiver + Data Logger.

A couple of the units look very much like some of the Qstarz receivers that we recently reviewed (Travel Recorder) and it also seems another reincarnation of the i-Blue range, like the 737 and 747.

You can find the details of the solar unit below.
