They've developed the LensAlign Focus Calibration System.

Cannon PowerShot SX130 IS
Well it's obviously that time of year, Canon are announcing products left, right & centre.

This time around we're focusing (pun intended) on their compact range of consumer cameras... bit of a tongue twister that one, anyhow the new PowerShot SX130 IS and PowerShot S95 as shown below are targeted towards two different markets, but both are sure to be excellent value for money, and we hope to be able to review both of these new compacts at some point after their September release date.

Cannon's Latest Fisheye Lens
Canon's latest announcements also include their new EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye lens which includes the world first ability to function as both a circular fisheye and full-frame fisheye for their full-frame SLR/DSLR camera range.

Unfortunately you won't be able to get your hands on this baby for at least a few more months, as it's scheduled for January 2011.

Canon 60D

After being officially announced just days ago (26th August 2010) we're now seeing pre-orders appearing on various popular photography websites for canon's newest prosumer SLR camera, the 18 Megapixel Canon EOS 60D.


The press release goes on to mention availability from dealers nationally in September 2010.

"Replacing the popular EOS 50D camera, the EOS 60D sits between the EOS 550D and EOS 7D and is perfect for users stepping up from an entry-level DSLR, as well as for compact users desiring more creative options and higher image quality."

HTC Desire HD
Yes the rumour has been around for a while, but it's finally been outed in video thanks to the guys over at 247android.com (italian) confirmed specs include: 4.3" WVGA Screen, 8 Mpixel Camera, 720P Video Recording,  XviD Playback, and of course Android 2.2 FroYo... this places the Desire HD as HTC's answer to an Evo 4G for GSM/HSDPA Networks.

Slated for an October release.

One interesting characteristic of Star Trek: The Next Generation—one that separated it from the original series and most of the early films—was its widespread use of smooth, flat, touch-based control panels throughout the Enterprise-D. This touch interface was also used for numerous portable devices known as PADDs, or Personal Access Display Devices. These mobile computing terminals bear a striking resemblance to Apple's iPad—a mobile computing device largely defined by its smooth, flat touchscreen interface.
