U-Pointer Mounted

Any kind of display can become an interactive whiteboard with a U-Pointer - from a PDP, LCD or Rear Projection TV, to a Projector. By mounting the device on a table, ceiling, or rear projection display you can interact with the PC via the display.

With a 60 frames sample rate, it really does feel like you are using a normal pen to write on a normal board -  removing the need for electronic whiteboards. Any additions you make to the document can be used either real time, streamed online, or distributed in computer file format at a later time.

Could this be the future of retail and or hospitality? HP have released 42" Widescreen LCD Interactive Digital Signage Displays that could be appearing in stores near us soon. Trying out this technology, Marcel (DRN Webmaster) ordered a coffee using the interactive display (see picture) and I browsed a fashion outlet's product database and used it to tell an assistant I required help. The retail assistant would be able to see what products or categories a customer has viewed and/ or expressed interest in, and try to tailor their sales approach appropriately. 

Inconvenient or a time saver? Only time will tell...
