If you are worried about backing up critical data on hard drives, but don't necessarily understand the nitty- gritty of how it all works then this may be for you. Freegene have released a one button HDD clone, where you can clone one hard drive to another, either by physically inserting both (no computer needed); or by plugging this device into your computer via either eSATA or USB2.0. It supports both 2.5" or 3.5" hard drives and can be used with Windows 2000/XP/VISTA/7 as well as Linux and MAC 10 or above.
Soon to be available through the Freegene website, this products biggest strength is its price - according to staff at their stall, the Freegene Clone will retail for US$20.
