The Samsung Galaxy Skin was unveiled at CES 2011 and features a bendable and foldable display that is able to withstand hard blows. However, the phone was still in conceptual stage, though if reports are true, the Samsung Galaxy Skin could become commercial next year.
Featuring a bendable, foldable AMOLED display, the Samsung Galaxy Skin is probably the most flexible mobile phone to date. Well, if it goes to retail that is. This new conceptualized phone was showcased at Hongik University in South Korea last June, and at CES 2011. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Skin incorporates flexible AMOLED displays, instead of glass, and is said to use a plastic polyimide substrate. The tests showed that the displays are able to bend around a cylinder, measuring just an inch in diameter.
