Delkin’s CardBus UDMA CF Adapter Transfers Images at over 40 MB/s

Poway CA. March 8, 2007 - Delkin Devices, Inc. today announced its new CardBus 32 UDMA adapter, designed to transfer images at over 40 MB/s to a computer using UDMA (Ultra Direct Memory Access) enabled memory cards. Pairing the two enables the fastest data transfer from UDMA CompactFlash memory cards to Apple and PC laptops with CardBus slots.

Eric Richter, Delkin’s Marketing Manager explained, “Digital photographers are used to working with laptops as a critical part of their workflow process. Each wave of the latest DSLRs produces ever-increasing file sizes, and that slows image transfers. UDMA CompactFlash cards are already being introduced and our goal is to provide photographers with the fastest and easiest way to transfer images from these cards to their computer.”

The eFilm CardBus UDMA adapter improves workflow speeds with transfer speeds over 40 MB/s. These ultra-fast speeds are achieved when using UDMA enabled CF cards. The Delkin CardBus UDMA provides the essential link in the workflow process, so photographers can save precious time importing photos to their computer. Delkin, which has long been first in connectivity by offering the widest variety of PCMCIA adapters in the industry, introduced the innovative CardBus adapter to the USA market over three years ago. Now both the digital photography and the computer market are poised to move towards UDMA technology. Once again, Delkin stays ahead of the technology curve, this time by providing an adapter solution for photographers who need a speedy means to transfer their digital images into a computer. The eFilm CardBus UDMA CF adapter ships in early April. Drivers will be available for Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X 10.4.8. The eFilm CardBus UDMA will sell at an MSRP of $59.99. Delkin Introduces Two New ExpressCard Adapters: The eFilm ExpressCard 54 UDMA Enabled CF Adapter and the ExpressCard 34 6 in 1 Adapter.

Poway, CA. March 8, 2007 - Delkin Devices today announced their new eFilm ExpressCard 54 mm adapter and the eFilm ExpressCard 34 mm 6 in 1 adapter. The ExpressCard 54 CF adapter is the first UDMA enabled ExpressCard adapter which allows lightning fast image transfer for photographers to their laptops. The ExpressCard 34 6 in 1 adapter offers ultra-fast transfer speeds from Secure Digital and SDHC memory cards, and others. These two adapters along with their eFilm ExpressCard 34 CF adapter announced last year give Delkin the most complete line of ExpressCard memory card adapters in the world.

The new UDMA enabled eFilm ExpressCard 54 CF adapter delivers blazing high speed transfer rates of up to 33MB/s. These speeds are made possible with CF cards incorporating UDMA (Ultra Direct Memory Access) technology.  The ExpressCard 54 CF adapter is also compatible with non-UDMA CF (type I and II) cards and Microdrives. The eFilm CompactFlash ExpressCard 54 MSRP will be $59.99, with shipments commencing in early April, 2007.

Delkin began shipping the versatile 6 in 1 eFilm ExpressCard 34 adapter earlier this month.  The 6 in 1 works in both 34 mm and 54 mm slots, and supports Secure Digital, SDHC, MMC, MS, MS Pro, and the xD card. The eFilm ExpressCard 6 in 1 adapter MSRP is $59.99, and is available for immediate delivery.

“Laptops are a key component in the workflow of many photographers,” said Eric Richter, Delkin’s Marketing Manager. “Our goal is to provide photographers with the fastest and easiest way to transfer images to their workstation and our ExpressCard adapter line does that.”

ExpressCard is the newest standard from the PCMCIA Organization. Computer manufacturers began incorporating ExpressCard in laptops in early 2006. The ExpressCard provides faster performance and smaller form factor than CardBus and PC Cards.

All Delkin eFilm ExpressCard adapters are RoHS compliant and are conveniently provided with Plug-and-Play (no drivers required) and Hot Swappable capabilities.  The eFilm ExpressCard 34 series works with both Mac and PC computers, and carry a limited two year warranty.  The eFilm ExpressCard 54 CF adapter only fits into PCs with 54 mm ExpressCard slots.

Snug-It:  Delkin’s Digital Camera Skins With a Twist

, CA. March 8, 2007 - Delkin Devices today announced the new Snug-It digital camera skins.  These attractive camera skins take protection far beyond the competition.  Snug-Its incorporate a revolutionary new design feature.  Intricate molding results in flexible silicone petals that protect the lens itself.  Other skins only have a cutout to allow the lens to expand and retract – the exclusive Snug-It lens petals open and close over the lens as it moves in and out.  No other camera skin offers protection this complete.

Snug-It skins are custom molded, ensuring a perfect fit and full functionality for every camera model.  All controls are molded into the skin, which makes using the camera simple.  Need to change a battery, replace a memory card or hook up the camera to a computer?  All standard camera functions are easily used without removing the skin.*

Snug-It skins come with a plastic LCD cover to keep debris off and prevent scratches and fingerprints to the camera’s screen.  Cameras with touch screens are accommodated with a clever swing open design for the LCD cover, allowing easy access.  A stylus is included to prevent fingerprints on the LCD.

The high quality silicone is smooth, not tacky, and resists lint and debris far more than other camera skins.  Smudges or any dirt that may be picked up are simply wiped off the skin.  The premium silicone allows easy insertion of the camera into its specially molded Snug-It, and then into a pocket or bag.

Snug-It skins are available in stylish black, white and pink and will be available for all major point-and-shoot models.  Each Snug-It includes two carrying straps (one for the wrist, one for the neck).  Snug-Its will sell at an MSRP of $19.99, and will begin shipping in early April.  For more information, go to www.delkin.com/snug-it.

* To utilize camera docks, removal of the skin may be necessary.
