Photo ScannerAnybody with a massive back catalogue of analogue prints will know, scanning photos using a conventional flat bed scanner  is time consuming and altogether unlikely. I can’t remember how long my prints have been in the “put it off till next year” basket!

Flying the face of this procrastination is Hammacher Schlemmer ‘s dedicated photo scanner: A device that literally allows you to deliver your old analogue photos into the digital realm at the mere touch of a button.

Read on for more..

The photo scanner captures photos via a 5 Megapixel CMOS sensor with up to 1,800 dpi resolution which is supplemented by 10 bits per colour channel automatic exposure control and colour balance. All leading to a painless transition of your photos, quickly and at good quality.

The device connects to your PC via USB and supports both Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Vista and comes complete with basic photo editing software.

Hammacher Schlemmer are taking pre orders on this $149.95US unit now, with an expected ship date of mid April. For more information visit the Hammacher Schlemmer website
