The Waterdrop weather station is a weather station and clock with a difference.
The shape reminds this writer of "The Gherkin" or better known as the "Swiss Re Building" in the City of London.
However the real difference is that this device has an infrared sensor which allows you to snooze the alarm clock by waving your hand in front of it.
The infrared sensor detects motion within 7.5 cm (3") in front of the unit which silences the alarm and activate a five-minute snooze. That certainly helps if you are the type who fumbles for buttons groggily, or if you are like me, have the perchant of hitting the off button instead of snooze. By activating the snooze button will also illuminate the screen for five seconds.
The large backlit LCD screen has three different options and displays:
* weather forecast icons with colour coding;
* temperature indoor/outdoor (Celsius or Fahrenheit);
* humidity (25% - 95%);
* maximum temperature and humidity;
* barometric pressure (24 hours);
* moon phase;
* US Atomic time and date; and
* alarm clock setting.
The outdoor sensor bundled with the device trasmits on 433MHz with a range of up to 75 m (246 feet).
