The White House responds to cellphone unlocking petition

Back in February, the Library of Congress and U.S. Copyright Office decided to make it illegal for consumers to unlock their cellphones, which obviously didn’t sit too well with consumers. Within a very short time, a petition was started on the government's We The People petition site to have this silliness overturned. Well, today we got their reply to that petition.
