Iomega eGo Hard Drives go Mac

Iomega's eGo hard drives have been around for a while and now are being marketed towards the ever increasing Mac population.
The new Ego Portable Hard Drives for Mac will feature Firewire 400, 800 and USB 2.0 interfaces as well as come pre formatted with HFS+ to avoid any hassles straight out of the box.
The new triple interface Iomega drives are available now: $99US for the 250GB Alpine White, $109US for the 320GB Midnight Blue model, or $149 for the 500GB Ruby Red model.

Norhtec's $199 Gecko EduBook Available Now (AA batteries not included)

We've reviewed quite a few of Norhtec's products over the years and love the Small is Beautiful concept they espouse. The Gecko EduBook is another example to bring compute power to the masses and for less than $200 you can get this very modular netbook, aimed at kids in school. Probably the developing nations will benefit most with these type of socalled EduBooks. The Gecko can be run on 8 AA batteries which will last for 4 hours at the time. It comes with Ubuntu Remix thrown in, featuring many applications, but it can also support Windows XP with the appropriate configuration.
