You might've seen from the
previous reviews on the site
that I'm very interested in
sound. In fact, I'm always
on a quest for better sound.
Today, I will be looking at a
set of earphones called the
Yahba Opus earphones. Yes,
the earphones are made by a
company called Yahba. You
probably have not heard of the
company for probably two main
reasons: the first being that
they are an extremely small
company; second is that they
only offer a single product
which are the earphones which I
am talking about now.
In general, earphones can be
obtained quite easily.
They are cheap and earphones can
be found packaged with MP3
players and such. Instead,
we are looking for a better set
of earphones that can produce
better sound. The Yahba
Opus earphones retail at a low
price of $29.99 making them very
affordable. |

At the price level of $30 for these
earphones, you can already expect that these earphones will not
come close to the sound quality of the Etymotic earphones.
Compared with the earphones that come with the Apple iPod, I
found that these earphones did generally sound better,
especially with the enhanced bass response. The bass had a
more tighter bass thump than the iPod earphones. Sound
quality in general was good for these type of low-budget
earphones.
These earphones feature sound isolation. These earphones
don't actively isolate noise, but since they go in your ear,
they do lower the noise level of ambient noise if you are in a
somewhat noisy area. I'm still able to hear the case fan
in my computer right next to me, but it is definitely less
distracting with the use of the earphones.
I
find that the earphones are best used for general use.
They are certainly very portable. Even though I do have
headphones that do sound better than these earphones, it does
not match the versatility of these earphones. You can
easily but them in your pocket and take them wherever you go.
You can use it with your computer, your MP3 player, or other
multimedia devices. In other words, you have a decent pair
of earphones always with you that provide some better sound.
These earphones are very comfortable to put in the ear. I
had no problem leaving them in my ear for long periods of time.
In fact, I hardly noticed they were in my ear at times.
The earphones don't fit quite as snug as the feeling you get
with earphones, but they were able to stay in place even when
actively walking.

The Yahba Opus earphones are very useful.
They are extremely portable, so that you may take them anywhere.
They may not be best sounding earphones, but they certainly
still sound decent. These earphones retail at a price of
$29.99. You can definitely find it for much less at other
places. These earphones are also useful as backup
earphones if your current one breaks.
