Donut
What's a dashboard Donut? It has nothing to do with anything edible that might have been stuck to your car's dashboard. Neither is it a device to ease one's haemorrhoids pain as one uncharitable co-worker remarked the other day. Nor is it a parking space for a desktop rodent. It's big and incredibly heavy and becomes an immovable object once you find the right spot on your dash.

It's Adapt's latest contribution to automobile safety: a place to put your mobile phone, PDA, PND or any other device and anchor it securely.

Let's see how it works.

Iomega StorCenter ix2
With the phenomenal growth of data and a better awareness of the need to back it up, there is always a market for a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device.  Last I really knew of Iomega was back in the ZIP drive days where they ruled the home storage world.  But with EMC bringing their enterprise level experience to the SOHO arena, can it revive this company's fortunes with the Iomega StorCenter ix2 NAS?  Thanks to the good people at Iomega, DigitalReviews gets up close and personal with a 2 Tb edition of the ix2.

Spb MS3
Arguably the most important page on any computer or mobile device is the homepage. Spb knows that and have spent significant time and money on developing the best interface for your phone in the market today. They already had a winner in version 2.0 which was shipped by many device makers such as Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and others.
The new version, Mobile Shell 3.0,  is absolutely stunning visually and also when it comes down to be able to personalise it.
Here's the first quick look.

Nero 9
Call me carbon-dated but I can still remember when Nero Burning Rom was still in digital diapers and Easy CD Creator ruled the ROM burning world.  Those were the days when Nero had a decent product but was always playing second fiddle in hardware support.  About the time when the main competitor changed names was when Nero gain ascendency and Nero 9 is the latest in the pedigree.  Nero 9 has evolved into a powerful suite of tools that encompasses the cycle from the birth to distribution of your multimedia creations, whether it is music, video, photos or data.

Imation SSD
What a brilliant idea!  Most people who want to upgrade to the speed and performance of a solid-state drive might be put off by the daunting task of either a fresh install or ghosting their HDD.  I know that I'm in that category: I hate going through a fresh install all the time because I do it several times a year and every time it takes ages to get it back to a workstation, personalised to my needs.

However, Imation have come out with a simple upgrade kit that contains everything except a screwdriver to make upgrades to their SSDs a non-event.
I tried it out today and the big question is: how did I go?

Elgato EyeTV DTT Deluxe
The Elgato EyeTV DTT Deluxe is an impossibly small High Definition digital television tuner for the Apple Mac. And for the past month or so, we have had it connected to our unibody MacBook Pro for some portable free-to-air viewing.

Noah
We are in the middle of reviewing a series of books and audio CDs by Tom Horn.

Last time we reviewed the Nephilim Stargates and recommended it highly, despite the fact that it is a challenging and provocative subject matter.  If this book doesn't make you sit up and think -- nothing else really will.  Perhaps not even the audio CDs that are part of this package even though hearing the spoken word is probably more penetrating than the pages of a book.  Some people are more visually oriented, others just would like to listen to something.
I am happy to do both: I'd love to curl up with a book on my sunny veranda and I also like to listen to MP3s on my phone -- not so much to music but the spoken word.  Being a multitasker I'd love to do that while performing some mundane task, like making breakfast or walking the dog.

Contour
Every once in a while a device comes along which pairs beauty with function in an exquisite way.
The Contour Design SURFACE SOUND COMPACT is such a unit.  The trouble is, even such a long name isn't descriptive enough.  So what does the Contour Design SURFACE SOUND COMPACT do?  Simply put, it is a wireless car kit based on Bluetooth, of which there are many in the market.
So how did we fare in our roadtest?  Is that all just sleekness and beauty but does it disappoint in the audio department?

Let's find out!
