Contour Every once in a while a device comes along which pairs beauty with function in an exquisite way.
The Contour Design SURFACE SOUND COMPACT is such a unit. The trouble is, even such a long name isn't descriptive enough. So what does the Contour Design SURFACE SOUND COMPACT do? Simply put, it is a wireless car kit based on Bluetooth, of which there are many in the market.
So how did we fare in our roadtest? Is that all just sleekness and beauty but does it disappoint in the audio department?
Let's find out!

Synology Not too long ago, we had a good look at the Qnap Network Attached Storage Drive. We liked its overall construction and performance.
Today, we turn our attention to another one, except it is made by Synology. You may have never heard of the company, but they have been making these kinds of products for quite a while now.
Let's take a look at what makes this product different from the nearby competition.

We introduced the MediSlate to you last week when Tegatech announced its availability here in Australia.
The TabletKiosk MediSlate MCA i1040XT, or Medical Clinical Assistant, as its full name is, has now arrived at our office for a quick hands-on review.
Now I am faced with the almost impossible task to do justice to this incredibly cool looking slate PC in just 3 days.

Nephilim Stargates Last year we reviewed a challenging book, called The Nephilim Imperatives and particularly since that book I started to read widely on the UFO phenomena, transgenics and the rather disturbing history that is about to be repeated again.
Anomalos Publishing just sent me a pile of books and Audio CDs on this genre over 5 inches high!
Some of the exciting titles: The Ahriman Gate, The Omega Conspiracy, PSYCHOTRONIC WARFARE and CONSPIRACY THEORY.
Also part of this pack are the books Alien Intrusion and The Gospel According to Science Fiction.
I’ve bitten off the first half an inch in reading Tom Horn’s Nephilim STARGATES – The Year 2012 and the Return of the Watchers.
Tom is arguably the best-known author on this very topical subject and his latest tome strongly suggests the world is about to enter into unheard-of upheavals soon.

Adapt When Adapt requested that we have a look at their latest USB cradle for the HTC Touch Pro we initially declined because none of our tests platforms was a Touch Pro. When they insisted on sending us one anyway we figured it might also work with the Diamond Touch. They shared the same USB charge port and indeed, when the unit arrived it played very nice with the Touch Diamond and adds some good functionality to this very capable smartphone.
So... what else ist it good for?

 Canon EOS 450D
Some of our regular readers may know that I have made occasional references to my interest in photography. After a few years of letting work take over my life and getting by with nothing but my mobile phone camera, I finally decided on an entry-level DSLR to ease my way back into the hobby. For my birthday this year I was given a Canon EOS 450D with a twin lens kit.
It has been 5 years since Canon first released the first "affordable" digital SLR in the form of the EOS 300D (Digital Rebel), the EOS 450D also known as the Rebel XSi (US) and Kiss X2 Digital (Japan), is the fourth generation Canon DSLR at the lower end of the EOS range. I am going to refer to it as the EOS 450D, the name by which it is marketed in Australia.
This is not intended to be a complete technical review of the Canon EOS 450D. There are plenty of professional photographers out there who can provide far more technical details and comparisons. This is intended as an overview of my impressions as an owner and user of an EOS 450D.

Zivio Boom extended Without a doubt, the Zivio Boom headset is one of the best looking bluetooth headsets available in the market. It garnered a lot of attention and envious looks when the unit arrived, from designers to geeks alike. DigitalReviews got to take this sexy piece of hardware out for a test drive, courtesy of our good friends at Joby.
