Reviews

Independent write-ups after weeks of end-user experiences and testing.
You may often find indispensible advice here and a no-nonsense attitude to evaluating the products.
We don’t go for the bits-and-bytes approach but aim to address the core factor: value-for-money for the average end-user.

We have not seen any reviews yet on the latest mid-range Samsung Smart TVs and certainly not on the 2011 models here in Australia so we are happy to present you with an in-depth report on the Samsung 6600, which is the top model in the Series 6 range. This Internet connected Smart TV landed on our test bench courtesy of Samsung Australia and Albany Retravision, our local electronics superstore.
If you are looking to upgrade your TV and haven't done so in the last few years you'll be amazed at not only the superlative quality of the viewing experience but also the interconnectivity of these so-called Smart TVs.

EFO iPazzPort
The third generation EFO USB RF Wireless Keyboard landed on my review desk a little while back.  To be honest, when I first received the unit I was not entirely sure what to make of it or where I may conceivably use it.  The potential of this device did finally dawn on me once I started playing with it.

Akasa Duodock
In my opinion, one of the most essential gadgets I can have at home and at work at the present time is a hard disk dock.  I have a motley collection of hard drives of various capacity and sizes in the graveyard box courtesy of system upgrades.  With the new Akasa DuoDock 2S USB 3.0 Docking Station, our friends at Brando kindly sent an unit for the DigitalReviews treatment.

Dyson DC35
While the mundane household chore of vacuuming will always be, well.. mundane, it took on a slightly more digital nature of late as we got around to reviewing the Dyson Digital Slim DC35 Handstick.

Spot the Parkzones
If you want to hot up your Parkzone Trojan T28D RC Plane I have tested this magic formula to make it go significantly faster, without any non reversible modifications. For that matter, this combination will upgrade or hot up any warplane or RC planes that have their stock power system as a 480 size 960KV brushless motor with a 9.5x7.5” propeller, and will therefore already include the following: Parkzone RC planes, Stinson Reliant 105% faster, F4U Corsair 105% faster, P51 Mustang 9x6 prop 105 >% faster. F4F Wildcat 9x6 prop 205% faster
(Percent more powerful maybe a better description than faster although it will be faster)

A very simple modification is also available to increase speed, “soup up” the Hobbyzone Super Cub LP.
So read on and let me give you the methodology and resultant statistics of doing it!

Solar power is cheap and efficient and yet can provide energy almost everywhere you go. So let’s just see why you should include a couple of portable solar panels as an essential as you head off with your caravan or tent.

Bushman portable fridge freezer
Never before have I seen a portable fridge freezer capable of so much. It should be called the Transformer rather than the Bushman. You can change its storage capacities from 35, 42, 45 or to 52 litres in a few seconds.

We believe that the Bushman portable fridge freezer eclipses other well known brands such as Engel and Waeco in overall operation advantages such as lower power draw, less running time and better insulation capability. One can only wonder why these companies have allowed themselves to become complacent, but even they would now see the innovative Bushman as becoming a huge threat to their future sales. But enough! Let’s have an in depth look at more advantages and see why, in the years to come, the Bushman portable fridge freezer will  become a “must have” for campers and caravanners alike.
