A few weeks ago D-Link launched the DIR-X1560, their new AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 Router. The device is pitched to specifically meet the needs of working and studying from the modern smart home, with Wi-Fi speeds of up to 1,500Mbps. How well does it play in the real world? With thanks to D-Link, DRN takes the DIR-X1560 for a test drive.
Do these accolades apply to the rest of the EGO garden tools?
We were keen to find out and today we’re looking at the Multi-Tool range and specifically at the Pole Saw attachment.
In Part 2 we’ll cover a couple of other attachments for the Multi-Tool: the Brushcutter and the Whipper Snipper (or Line Trimmer).
So come along and find out how we fared.
In what is probably a stroke of genius, the Logitech StreamCam was launched in the midst of the COVID-19 isolation here in Australia. Given we were all working from home and bogged down in endless meetings over Zoom, Skype, WebEx, you name it.
Logitech pitches the StreamCam to streamers, with a focus on image quality and dual front-facing microphones. DRN is going to take it for a test drive, let's hope my mug does not crack the lens since I have not had a haircut or a shave since end of February. I have never been the looker in the family, but right now I resemble more so an Asian woolly mammoth or the Dulux mascot.
Give me three things you don’t like about your inkjet printer.
I don’t care what make and model you have but most folks will come up with something like this:
The price of the ink, the mess of cartridge changes or running out of ink at the most inopportune moments and, generally, the high cost of printing.
Those things always made my shortlist in the past few decades that I’ve been using inkjet printers.
Let me tell you how the Epson WorkForce ET-4750 EcoTank revolutionised my printing.
DRN pulled out the big gun when it comes to testing active lifestyle gear. Devlin Webb at a tender 16 years old has represented at State and National level in both Australian Rules Football and cricket. In AFL he captained the Victorian 12's team in 2015, represented Australia in 2018 as an under 15 and received a plethora of awards. Devlin is a top order batsman and fast bowler, playing 225 cricket matches including 7 centuries, with best figures of 114 not out batting, and 6/12 in bowling. He debuted for the Premier First 11 at age 15, and has been selected to train in the Victorian High Performance Academy. Devlin's the name the watch as one of Australia's future sports stars. So how did the Jabra Elite Active 75t fare when Devlin put it to the test?
For this review of the WD_Black P10 Game Drive, we welcome another new face to the team. Peter Bower is a mixed bag of tricks. In former lives, he was a professional photographer and videographer, published writer, English academic, award winning poet, hater of soup, website manager, social media guy, ginger, and creature of the night. He is the founder and former editor-in-chief of SWAMP and VoTogs. He is still a ginger and now finds himself a government employee. When he’s not working, he is a semi-serious gamer and lover of live music, bad movies and action novels. His website is well out-of-date, as is his Facebook. But you can say hello to him on Twitter @OeterB.
For those of us old enough to have experienced the great Nokia phones of yesteryear it’s good to see the brand making a good comeback. And this time they’ve hitched their fortunes onto a very solid operating system: Android One, currently featuring the very latest Android 10.
So how did we fare in our evaluations?
Hard on the heels of our most recent review of Dr Horn’s Shadowland book – a thoroughly documented volume on who really is running (and ruining!) the United States of America – here is a book that - among other things - describes NASA’s role in a cover-up of what’s heading our way.
What is the 2000 year old Wormwood prophecy?
Is it relevant for us today, living in this generation?
And, if so, can we prepare for this catastrophic event?
