One of my cameras is the Olympus E-510, in some countries also known as the EVOLT E-510.
It's a very capable DSLR with some unique features.
We have written about one of its predecessors, the E-300 more than two years ago and I've always been enamoured by the LiveView feature which was quite revolutionary in those days. Normally I am quite happy to read the manual but this time around I also watched a couple of training DVDs from EliteVideo.com.
Was it worth the $50 that they cost?

Owning a Panasonic Lumix FZ20 has made me enthusiastic about the quality of cameras that Panasonic makes.
Today were having a first look at a smaller sibling in the Lumix range, the DMC-TZ3.
The Travel Zoom series has culminated now with the TZ3 in a 7 megapixel, 10x zoom camera with image stabilization.
Lets have a look in this mini-review at the main features of this very capable camera (Street Price around USD330).

Today we are having a quick look at Casios latest high-end models, the exciting 7x zoom EX-V7 as well as one of the few 10 mega pixel cameras on the market in the digicam range.
Both cameras are exciting in different ways and come loaded with features. But are they picture perfect? Lets find out.

As a professional aerial photographer I dont think I ever have come across the perfect camera. Whether its film or digital, medium format or 35mm all cameras are a compromise which may work well with one group of photographers but less so with others. And much of it is personal preference. With that qualifying statement I have found my initial two weeks in the company of the latest Digital SLR from Olympus a most pleasant experience. Let me share my findings on the E-300 also named Evolt in other countries in this introduction (a more in-depth report may follow later).
