Phoenix Flight Simulator for Model Planes - Reviewed

Written by Joe Baker on . Posted in Miscellaneous

Read more: Phoenix Flight Simulator for Model Planes - ReviewedAn absolute “must buy purchase” if you are considering becoming a model plane pilot.

My intention is to show just how good this flight simulator package is by using my first hand experiences and commenting on actual dynamic comparisons. I will use example planes such as the Trojan T28D, F4U Corsair and the EF2000 Euro fighter jet which are only three of the many planes that are able to be chosen within the Phoenix’s Flight Simulator’s programme.

So let me convince you that the minimal cost in purchasing this simulation programme is well worth it and it will stop you following in my footsteps whereby I learnt the hard way first.

Read more: Sky Arrow – The Inside on the Italian Job Ever since I first saw pictures of the sleek and – dare I say it: supersexy – Sky Arrow over 10 years ago now, I knew this machine looked like the aircraft I would want to own one day.

In my dreams I visualised this Italian design wrapped around me, piercing the skies. Well, at 95 knots cruise you’re not gonna be lightning fast but, really, flying this magnificent machine, wouldn’t you want the experience to last?
We checked out the Sky Arrow when it passed through Albany on the way back from being demoed at a few air shows along the East Coast.

Read more: RC Electric Boat V24 MDF 920 EP- ReviewedLooks like a black bullet - 920 mm long with heaps of aesthetic appeal.  I’m talking about the V24 MDF 920 EP remote controlled electric racing boat built by Dragon.  We have tested three of the Aquacraft range, one of the Joysway’s, and whilst Wirelesshobbyz has them all, at our request he has sent us something we thought should be a bit different.

Does it go as good as it looks?

Read more: RC Electric Boat Joysway Surge Crusher- ReviewedTime to do the last of the four radio controlled boats.  Another pleasurable exercise as this boat’s finish at first glance is as good as the Supervee27 we have just reviewed.  The electric Joysway Surge Crusher is also up there in the high performance Semi Pro arena, where customers demand high speed and handling.

The advertised speed is given as 60 km/h so stick around while I put it through similar test areas to the other boats and see how it comes out. So let’s go!

Read more: RC Electric Boat Aquacraft Supervee27- ReviewedStraight out of the box it’s packed in, even by race standards, the new Aquacraft Supervee27 boat is fast.  As a reviewer, we just took it out to the pond and did some runs and you should have seen the attention we got.  The insane handling and speed just took our breath away and we also found some ideas that we put into practice that should help those who already have one.

So what did we find out?

Read more: RC Electric Buggy Brushless HSP Li-Po 4WD – ReviewedHave you ever seen something mild mannered and easy to control, and still have the potential to change into a blood stirring 4 wheel drive bullet?  For some weeks now I have been test driving, or shall we say, remote controlling, a HSP 4 wheel drive buggy that has it all.  It’s a 2010 model brushless Pro version with a huge 7.2v 3300 kv motor with an ESC rated for 12 volts, with grippy tyres and a 27 mhz transmitter, 7.2 NH MH 2000 mAh battery.

Read more: Brando Professional Foldable Photo Studio – ReviewedHere’s a great solution if you have to take macro shots or images of small to medium sized products: the Brando Professional Foldable Photo Studio. Real photographers know that there’s a huge difference between just putting a product on a table in the sun and taking a picture or if you do this under controlled lighting without any background shadows.
That’s where the Brando Professional Foldable Photo Studio comes in. It provides that controlled environment with lights that have the right colour temperature in a portable setup that is not too cumbersome to take on the road or fold away in a cupboard.

Read more: RC Electric Plane Parkzone Trojan T28 BNF – ReviewedI must admit I have been looking forward to the arrival of this plane. This is the fifth of seven remote controlled electric planes that we intend to review in separate detailed writings on this site.  Already completed reviews include: the Apprentice 15e, Mini Super Cub, Hobbyzone Champ and Cessna 182.  Reviews yet to come are the Super Cub LP and the new Cessna Classic 500.  The final article will have a compiled comparison grid on all ‘planes which will result in us bestowing the coveted Digital Reviews’ “best ‘plane” award to one of the remote controlled (RC) electric aeroplanes using a point system.  Included within this review will be short evaluations of the Phoenix Simulator and Spektrum Dx6i transmitter.
