Hobbyzone Champ
This is the second of seven remote controlled electric planes that we intend to review in separate detailed writings on this site.  The others being: the Apprentice 15e (completed), Mini Super Cub, Super Cub LP, Trojan T28, Cessna 182 and the new Cessna Classic 500 culminating in a final article with a final comparison grid on all planes.  Our intention is to also review other peripheral equipment associated with RC planes such as Simulators and Performance batteries but interrelating the peripherals where they are best suited, ie a review on the Phoenix simulator will be with the Trojan T28 as it is one of the aeroplanes you can actually fly in the Simulator programme.

The little Hobbyzone Champ arrived today so let’s look at the second plane in the review series supplied by www.rchobbies.com.au.

E-flite Apprentice 15e
This is the first of the seven RC Electric planes, peripheral equipment and add-ons supplied by www.rchobbies.com.au.  We intend to do seven separate in-depth reviews over the next few months - on the E-flite Apprentice 15e, Hobbyzone Champ, Mini Super Cub, Super Cub LP, Trojan T28, Cessna 182 and the new Cessna Classic 500 with a final comparison grid on all planes.  Hence, we were very pleased when the Apprentice 15E arrived at our door a day or so earlier than expected.

As described in the “Upcoming Reviews”, we will be evaluating the planes from both a true beginner as well as from an expert perspective and will report on all sorts of info in areas that you are unlikely to have seen in other reviews, ie space required to fly each plane as a beginner pilot or an experienced one, take off and landing distances, type and condition of landing medium required for that plane, peculiarities of flight, advantages of Li-Po performance batteries, up market DX6i transmitter, simulators, and Swallow EQ chargers to mention but a few.  We are hopeful of covering everything that anyone wanting to fly RC electric would need to know.

So let’s get started!

BigLeash Box

We all love a well-trained dog.  But training a dog is not always easy and we need all the help that we can get.  These days electronic training units are very much in vogue.  After our first dog training unit which we reviewed a couple of months ago we received a request to take a good look at the BigLeash from DogWatch  and supplied by courtesy of Ace Dog Supplies. The BigLeash seems to be the top dog, so to speak, when it comes to these remote training units.
I don't know if my dog was looking forward to this training session but I certainly was and here are the results.

B&D Diamond PD Control A Door

Look at this!  Installation made easy, well built and quiet to operate.  What am I describing?  It’s the B&D Diamond Power Drive door opener graciously provided for a review by www.bnd.com.au

What they didn’t know was that I have had one of their older products before and that is still going strong operating one of my five roller doors, pretty much on a daily basis, so just maybe I might be a bit biased.

At digitalreviews.net we tend to only pick products we are fairly sure come from a good stable, having used their older products before or are impressed with the supplier’s code of ethics.  Anyway, I shall take you through the installation, which I intend to do on my own and check that this later model, the Diamond PD - Power Drive operates as well, or manages to equal my older one.  Surpass it?  Let’s see!

HDi Dune BD Prime 3.0
With the sheer number of Network Media Players on the market today, manufacturers are increasingly looking to find a clever angle to distinguish their products from the others. In putting a Blu-Ray drive inside the BD Prime 3.0, HDi Dune's angle is more of a convergence. A convergence of everything HD.
