Read more: Astone AP-380DT HD Media Player Dual Tuner – ReviewedWe were so impressed with the former “top of the tree” media player, the Astone AP 360T, that we leapt at the opportunity to review the latest and greatest from www.astone.com.au.  The new flagship Astone Media Gear AP 380DT Media Player with Dual Tuner is the next generation player which we have got the scoop on.  This product is so hot off the assembly line that the manual has not even been put together in written format yet.

Read more: Astone Media Gear AP-360T 1080p Media Player with PVR & HDTV Tuner - ReviewedThis unit has created immense interest on the digital reviews News, setting new records, for the number of visits in a day, (in excess of 20,000), so we will make sure we do it justice.

Firstly the unit is “top of the Tree” in the Astone Media Gear range, with an impressive specification sheet to go with it We have noted already that it is not supplied with a Hard drive, understandable because users individual capacity needs will vary.

No dongle is supplied with the unit, and we are surprised at this as it would have been seen as a more complete package. The Ethernet only supports 10/100 Mbps where ,being a top notch product we could have reasonably expected 10/100/1000.

Read more: Telefunken Platinum Telf50 DVD/VCR Recorder Combo - ReviewedAfter rummaging around in the dungeon in order to find 10 mini VHS camera video tapes of our wedding and reception taken in 2001, I elected to transfer the video from this virtually obsolete medium to DVD.  Risking being in the dog house forever if I botched the job, I unpacked the unit provided by www.oo.com.au and started to connect it to a TV.

This is a 6 Head PAL/NTSC with playback HI FI & Hi speed rewind product.
