They say the new 40 is 30, well then I’m a 33 (cough cough) year old sports nut that loves all things sports.
Speaking of sports, I played rugby league for the Canterbury Bulldogs for a while. I have won club championships in golf and cricket, held the position of President at multiple sporting clubs, coached and supporting many children representing their State and country in their beloved sports. I have two amazing sport crazy children whom are incredibly fortunate to have the resource of Australian level players and coaches assist in their development in their chosen sports, even having the Australian 1 day cricket captain assist in game awareness strategies during the COVID lockdown.
My thirst for adventure and adrenaline saw me served my country on active duty as a radar engineer on HMAS Darwin. While the adrenaline junkie has slowed down a bit, my love for sports, knowledge and excitement still burns strong. I have always been driven by knowledge and thus you’ll often find me at the bottom of the ocean exploring a wreck or testing the spin rate, bounce, functionality, feature set or the durability of any form of sport\lifestyle equipment.
A little Benny Webb trivia.
Though sports is my passion, I entered the military to expand my education in becoming a radar engineer as part of the academic intake in 1997 then gaining my MSCE after leaving.
While I do not skydive anymore, I still scuba dive and motorbike trail ride through rouged mountain ranges, ski, fish, golf, hike, play cricket soccer and even darts.
I love playing music and have played in a band at the Tamworth Country Music Festival for many years.
I have played competition in almost every sport you can mention, from rugby league to table tennis, basketball to squash, darts to tenpin bowling.
Why am I here? Well my wife would tell you I can’t make a decision until I have all the facts, features, test and the feel of anything I put in my house, use for sport or let my kids have as playing equipment. And yes this drives her absolutely CRAZY!!! So I thought I might help all the like-minded brothers and sisters out there and do some of the hard work for them.
