The leadership and innovation of Ecovacs has been recognised by Australian Good Design Awards. Earning two awards in the Product Design category for its DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI robotic vacuum and WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI robotic window cleaner.

These prestigious awards underscore ECOVACS’ leadership across indoor and outdoor home service robotics, reinforcing its commitment to transforming everyday home cleaning through thoughtful design and industry-first innovation that directly address consumer pain points.

The Australian Good Design Awards, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious international design accolade, celebrate excellence in design, innovation, and impact. This year’s theme, “Design for Better”, highlights how great design can enhance quality of life and shape a more sustainable future — values deeply aligned with ECOVACS’ mission.

At ECOVACS, our mission of Robotics For All means that every product feature we introduce and evolve is an investment in our customers’ time and quality of life, as we focus on solving real life painpoints we hear directly from consumers in Australia and around the world. We are delighted to be recognised by the Good Design Awards judging panel and their acknowledgement that ECOVACS continues to drive home service robotics forward in a thoughtful, practical way that really help consumers in their everyday lives.” said Karen Powell, Regional Director of Australia & New Zealand at ECOVACS ROBOTICS.

DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI

Launched in Australia earlier this year, the DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI, brought about the future of spotless living with a key industry-first and a range of innovative features. This robotic vacuum cleaner introduces ECOVACS’ OZMO ROLLER Instant Self-Washing Mopping Technology, an industry-first cleaning technology, while incorporating TruEdge 2.0 Adaptive Edge Cleaning and AIVI 3D 3.0 Omni-Approach Technology, ensuring spotless floors right up to the very edge.

The Good Design Australia Jury commented;

The DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI redefines robotic mopping through this elegant design solution. The self-cleaning rolling mop feels like a genuine step change in how mopping is approached. The supporting features also appear well thought out and cohesive. The aesthetic is clean and minimal across both the unit and the home base, which adds to its appeal. It tackles a genuine need and has shown real results in an unobtrusive package. A solid example of design innovation with clever features such as anti-tangle and edge cleaning that respond to longstanding consumer pain points.

The design supports long term maintenance and repairability – a positive for sustainable design. Aesthetically well resolved and solid integration of AI and automation for convenience, especially for elderly or busy users. A great showcase of innovation and impact in this category.

WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI

Launched in Australia in late 2024, the WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI set a new industry benchmark for effortless window cleaning as Australia’s first cordless robotic window cleaner with an integrated, multi-functional OMNI station that makes window cleaning more efficient, safe, and hassle-free than ever before.

Overcoming current pain points that include the need to plug into power, excessive cable clutter, and efficiency/remote control aspects, the WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI’s unique, muti-functional OMNI station delivers 110 minutes of cable-free cleaning. Further, its exclusive Three-nozzle Wide-angle Spray Atomisation Technology and WIN-SLAM4.0 intelligent planning technology keeps windows clean as new, while the 12-stage safety feature ensures you can look out your spotless window with absolute peace-of-mind.

The Good Design Australia Jury commented:

The WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI is Australia’s first robotic window cleaner with a portable station delivering a high capacity battery for cable free cleaning, with performance, storage and safety firmly front of mind. Cordless and edge cleaning features show a good level of technical refinement and the portability of the unit is a strong feature that makes indoor and outdoor window cleaning much more convenient, with less planning required for the user.

The integration between the physical product, its portable charging/base, and the app feels well thought out. When the Jury first saw this, they said “why didn’t we think of that?!” which is a great sign because it demonstrates that the Design Team has identified a new, different and genuine user need and they have addressed it in a simple and thoughtful way. An outstanding contribution to good design.
