Australia and New Zealand’s longest-running AV trade roadshow, ENTECH, is taking its 2026 tour across the Tasman after completing a record-breaking run through Australia.
Following events in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, the roadshow will conclude its 2026 program with three New Zealand stops, opening at the Auckland International Convention Centre on 28 July, before travelling to the Lower Hutt Events Centre in Wellington on 30 July and finishing at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on 4 August.
The one-day trade events combine educational seminars, hands-on demonstrations and the recently introduced Tech Train program, bringing together professionals from the audiovisual, lighting and entertainment technology industries.
According to ENTECH, the Australian leg of the tour delivered its strongest results to date, with visitor registrations increasing 27 per cent compared to the previous year.
Sydney recorded the largest growth at 37 per cent, followed by Melbourne (32 per cent), Adelaide (28 per cent), Brisbane (20 per cent) and Perth (3 per cent).
ENTECH CEO Kate McKenzie said the results reflected strong momentum across the professional AV sector.
“It encompassed five cities, one amazing crew and thousands of handshakes. After rolling through Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide the ENTECH Roadshow has packed up its trucks and called 2026 a wrap in Australia with the numbers making for very good reading as we head to New Zealand.”
Beyond attendance, ENTECH reported strong commercial engagement from visitors.
Across the Australian shows, 85 per cent of attendees identified themselves as final decision-makers, specifiers or purchasing influencers, while 82 per cent indicated they were actively purchasing or planning projects within the next 12 months.
Audio remained the largest area of interest, selected by 74 per cent of visitors, followed by lighting (60 per cent) and video and broadcast (49 per cent). All 68 exhibitor stands were fully booked throughout the Australian tour.
Behind the scenes, the national roadshow covered 10,563 kilometres, supported by four Live Event Logistics trucks, up to 30 local crew and approximately 30 venue staff at each stop.
Looking ahead, ENTECH will streamline its Australian schedule from 2027, focusing on Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The 2026 roadshow now concludes with its New Zealand events, with free registration available for qualified trade visitors.
