IFA 2025 might be done and dusted, but good news has not stopped flowing for Swann. Scoring an Honouree accolade for Best in Smart Home at IFA 2025’s inaugural Innovation Awards for their innovative SwannBuddy4K Video Doorbell with SwannShieldAI Voice Assistant.

An independent panel of international technology journalists and industry experts evaluated a range of entries and acknowledged standout innovations, including Swann’s leadership in the AI-empowered security space. It is an honour which celebrates breakthrough design and engineering excellence.

The awards employ a comprehensive judging methodology focusing on three core criteria: engineering and functionality, design and aesthetics, and uniqueness and innovation.

Swann’s groundbreaking SwannShield AI technology is the world’s first AI-powered home security Voice Assistant. It is powered by generative AI and the custom inputs you give it in the app ahead of time and can communicate with users in over 100 auto-detected languages.

The AI learning adjusts to any situation, having dynamic, natural conversations with anyone at the door as if they were speaking to a real person – answering when you’re away, are busy or perhaps don’t feel safe to engage. Messages are not pre-recorded, but rather are dynamic, AI-generated responses reacting to the specific situation.

Through settings in the Swann Security app you can create a completely customisable voice, personalising inputs, such as resident names or instructions for where deliveries should be placed, which are then seamlessly integrated into its vocabulary. You can also choose from 8 different accents and 3 demeanours, tailoring the vocal disposition of the assistant to suit your preferences and needs.

These features make SwannShield a highly customisable, smart, and secure solution for home management, providing flexibility and convenience to users.

Moreover, the technology is being rolled to an ever wider selection of Swann products, such as the recently introduced EVO wireless video doorbell design, all completely free of charge, as SwannShield is available within the Swann Security App.
