Zoom Communications today announced the launch of ZoomMate, an agentic AI teammate designed to help organisations move from workplace conversations to execution without losing context.
Alongside ZoomMate, the company has also launched its new AI Productivity Suite, a collection of AI-powered productivity tools that generate presentations, documents, spreadsheets and reports directly from meeting discussions and business context.
Together, the two launches form a key part of Zoom’s broader vision to become a system of action, where conversations become the foundation for workflow automation, enterprise search and completed work.
Turning Conversations into Action
ZoomMate combines enterprise search, workflow orchestration, custom AI agents and content creation capabilities into a single work surface.
Built around the idea that workplace conversations contain the most valuable business context, ZoomMate helps organisations search across enterprise systems, automate follow-up actions and generate finished deliverables without switching between multiple applications.
“What drew me to Zoom was a simple truth: no other company sits where Zoom sits — at the centre of every conversation where work decisions get made,” said Russell Dicker, Chief Product Officer at Zoom.
“Before, during and after the meeting, ZoomMate connects what was decided to what needs to happen next across every system where your work lives.”
Industry analyst Melody Brue, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, said the market is increasingly shifting beyond isolated AI assistants.
“Many AI offerings operate on the edges of work, with limited access to the real-time context affecting decisions. ZoomMate approaches this differently because it sits inside the conversations where those decisions unfold.”
ZoomMate Brings Search, Automation and Execution Together
ZoomMate introduces three core capabilities:
Agentic Search
ZoomMate searches across Zoom, connected enterprise platforms and the web to surface relevant information for projects, customer accounts, support tickets and business operations.
Integrations include systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Google Workspace and Microsoft environments, allowing users to access files, records, discussions and knowledge resources without leaving their workflow.
Workflow Orchestration
The platform’s agentic AI layer enables workflows to be executed automatically across connected systems.
ZoomMate can:
- Schedule meetings and calendar events
- Create and update tasks
- Route requests to business systems
- Draft customer communications
- Trigger onboarding and support workflows
- Monitor projects and identify next actions
- Deliverable Creation
ZoomMate automatically generates presentations, reports, project plans, spreadsheets and business documents using meeting discussions and enterprise context as source material.
Deliverables remain connected to the original conversation and can be updated as decisions evolve.
Introducing Zoom’s AI Productivity Suite
Powering much of ZoomMate’s content generation capability is Zoom’s new AI Productivity Suite.
The suite includes:
- Zoom Canvas: Formerly Zoom Docs, Zoom Canvas serves as a collaborative workspace that transforms meeting discussions into documents, project trackers, wikis and team workspaces.
- Zoom Slides: Creates presentations directly from meeting content or user prompts, helping teams rapidly develop presentation materials without starting from scratch.
- Zoom Sheets: Generates spreadsheets and analysis from meeting information and natural-language instructions.
- Zoom Paper: Provides AI-assisted document drafting, editing and formatting for reports, proposals and business communications.
Built for Modern Teams
Zoom says the combined platform is designed for organisations that regularly convert conversations into client deliverables and operational outcomes.
Potential use cases include:
- Sales Teams
- Retrieve account information from Salesforce, update opportunities automatically and generate customer proposals from meeting transcripts.
- Product and Engineering Teams
- Access project documentation, identify Jira issues and transform action items into structured project plans and status reports.
- HR and Operations Teams
- Answer policy questions, route employee requests and automate onboarding workflows.
- Knowledge Workers
- Search across enterprise systems, surface relevant project information and manage schedules without leaving Zoom.
A Conversation-Centric Approach to AI
Zoom believes the next evolution of workplace AI is not simply generating more summaries or content, but helping organisations complete the work created by conversations.
By combining ZoomMate’s agentic execution capabilities with the AI Productivity Suite’s content generation tools, the company aims to reduce context switching, eliminate repetitive administrative work and connect decisions directly to business outcomes.
ZoomMate is available immediately for online and direct customers in North America from US$20 per user per month, including AI credits. The AI Productivity Suite is included with ZoomMate subscriptions and is also available separately for US$10 per user per month.
Broader availability across EMEA and APAC regions is expected later this year.
