NavwayLike AFL, Melways is a Melbourne institution. Sure, there are other street directories out there, but there’s only one Melways.

And don’t think I’m joking – If you get into my car with anything else you’ll be navigating on foot! Really.

For those of us who love our Melways but also have a need for gadgets, the Ausway group have finally created the Navway Professional Street Directory.

Did someone say Melways on a touchscreen GPS? – read on for more..

Taking advantage of Ausways up to date Melway, Brisway and Sydway maps, the Navway Professional Street Directory is the ultimate GPS navigator.

The Navway has a touchscreen interface and bluetooth phone integration so that you can answer your phone via the touchscreen. The Navway’s maps can be updated (up to) every six months and can be used to store favourite addresses and is clever enough to pick a route based on your criteria – ie: avoid tollways.

Also, if you do happen to miss a turn, the Navway automatically reassess the situation and recalculates its course of action in a matter of seconds.

The unit is also able to sound a warning beep when approaching red light and fixed speed cameras. And if this weren’t enough, the unit will even play MP3s from an SD/MMC card!
