CyberPower has expanded its Online S Series in Australia with two new high-performance UPS models aimed at businesses where a power interruption can mean considerably more than losing an unsaved spreadsheet.
The new CyberPower OLS2K2ERT2UH and OLS3KERT2UH are designed for servers, storage, networking hardware, security systems and other critical infrastructure, combining online double-conversion power protection with a Power Factor of 1, integrated maintenance bypass and remote management capabilities.
For IT teams, one of the more important specifications here is that Power Factor 1 rating.
It means the UPS can make its full rated capacity available as usable wattage, allowing organisations to support larger loads without unnecessarily oversizing the UPS infrastructure.
That matters when you’re protecting increasingly dense racks of networking, storage and compute equipment, where every bit of available capacity can count.
No transfer time when the power goes bad
Both new Online S models use online double-conversion technology, continuously converting incoming AC power rather than waiting for a problem before switching to battery.
As a result, CyberPower says the units provide zero transfer time when moving between utility and battery operation.
That also allows the UPS to regulate the power being delivered to connected equipment, providing protection against blackouts, brownouts, surges and other disturbances rather than simply acting as a battery when the lights go out.

“These models are designed to give businesses more usable output, easier visibility and simplified maintenance, while ensuring the reliable, high-quality power that critical systems depend on.“
Maintenance without pulling the plug
CyberPower has also built an integrated maintenance bypass into the new models.
This allows connected equipment to be switched directly onto utility power while UPS maintenance is carried out, avoiding the need to shut down the equipment being protected simply because the UPS itself needs attention.
It’s one of those features that sounds mundane until you’re responsible for infrastructure that is expected to remain online around the clock.
The units also include a tiltable colour LCD, allowing the display to be angled upwards when the UPS is installed low in a rack or equipment room.
That should make configuration and checking UPS status considerably less awkward than trying to read a fixed display somewhere around ankle height.
Remote monitoring and room to grow
CyberPower is also supporting remote monitoring through PowerPanel Cloud, with compatible models featuring a built-in Remote Cloud Card.
Administrators can access real-time UPS information and management functions through a web portal or mobile app, making the platform better suited to distributed environments where IT staff may not be physically standing in front of the equipment.
The Online S platform also supports parallel expansion, allowing multiple UPS units to be connected to increase available capacity and provide N+X redundancy.
Additional management features include relay-type dry contacts for UPS status monitoring, automatic detection of extended battery modules, an Emergency Power Off dry-contact port and CyberPower’s PowerPanel Management Software for monitoring and graceful system shutdown.
CyberPower is positioning the new models for professional, SMB and enterprise environments where reliability and service continuity take priority over simply keeping a PC running long enough to save a document.
