Taking a major step into the audio and the broader creator ecosystem, Insta360 unveiled a first look at its upcoming flagship wireless microphone at NAB Show 2026. This is one of a range of products, bundles, and software updates, including a preview of an all-new Insta360 product line.
Exciting things are coming!
Insta360 Mic Pro: Flagship Wireless Audio for Creators
This marks a major step in the company’s expansion into the content creator space. Designed for creators, filmmakers, and professionals working across dynamic production environments, the new microphone system focuses on delivering reliable audio performance while simplifying workflows and enabling more expressive storytelling.
Personalised Content Creation: The Insta360 Mic Pro E-Ink Display
At NAB 2026, Insta360 presents the microphone as part of a broader creative direction: rethinking audio tools not just as devices for capturing sound, but as part of the creator’s visual and storytelling language.
This idea comes to life through an on-site installation, “The Creator Logo Wall,” built entirely from unreleased microphone units displaying the names and identities of attending creators and media. Together, these form the word “Bold.”
Visitors are invited to find their names on the wall and interact with personalized units pre-loaded with their identity, turning what is traditionally an invisible tool into something visible, recognisable, and uniquely theirs.
Professional Audio Workflows with Roger Sen and Brandon Li
Throughout the show, creators including Roger Sen and Brandon Li share their perspectives on working with audio, from capturing moments in unpredictable environments to building a workflow that feels natural and unobtrusive.
These conversations reflect a common challenge: while cameras have become more expressive and flexible, audio tools often remain standardized, technical, and disconnected from the creative process. In practice, creators are forced to compromise, managing extra devices, dealing with inconsistent performance, or hiding microphones entirely to maintain a clean visual frame.
Direct Connect and AI Noise Reduction: Technical Innovation
Insta360’s new microphone is built around a simple shift in thinking: audio tools should not only capture sound reliably, but also fit seamlessly into how creators shoot, move, and express themselves.
In real-world workflows, this means:
- A microphone that no longer needs to be hidden. With a customizable E-Ink display, creators can add logos, names, or visual elements, turning the mic into part of the frame rather than something to remove or mask in post.
- A setup that works as one system, not separate parts. Through Insta360 Direct Connect, the microphone integrates directly with Insta360 cameras, reducing setup friction and eliminating the need for additional devices in fast-paced shooting scenarios.
- Audio that holds up in unpredictable conditions. A three-microphone array, combined with AI-powered processing and NPU-based noise reduction, maintains clarity across changing environments, while internal recording provides an additional layer of security when conditions are less controlled.
Together, these elements are designed not just to improve performance, but to remove friction, allowing creators to focus on the moment rather than the equipment.
Previewing the Insta360 Luna Series Co-Engineered with Leica
Members of the media and NAB attendees were among the first globally to preview the upcoming Insta360 Luna Series, co-engineered with Leica, which includes Luna Pro and Luna Ultra. The series features a large 1-inch sensor, a bright F1.8 aperture, a variable focal length, and support for 10-bit colour for smoother, more natural transitions in light and shadow, capturing more nuanced and detailed colour straight from the camera. Luna Pro features a single-lens design, while Luna Ultra features a dual-lens design and enhanced telephoto performance.
Luna Ultra and Luna Pro were both being teased at the booth, and will be available in two distinct colour options.
Insta360 GO Ultra: Tadej Pogačar Edition for Elite Cycling
Also on display was the Insta360 GO Ultra Tadej Pogačar Edition Bundle, released April 15. GO Ultra is the company’s latest compact, hands-free action camera, designed to deliver smooth, professional POV footage in any scenario.
Developed in collaboration with Tadej Pogačar, reigning Tour de France champion, this co-branded edition offers an immersive POV solution that captures the intensity and perspective of elite cycling.
“Cycling is about pushing limits and taking on challenges. With Insta360, I can share our sport’s passion and excitement. I hope this inspires cyclists to capture their own journeys and memories,” said Pogačar.
Upcoming Insta360 Releases: GO 3S Retro and Flow 2 Updates
In addition to newer products already available, Insta360 showcased several upcoming innovations at NAB Show 2026, offering attendees an early look at what’s next.
The company previewed a new wireless microphone, Insta360 Mic Pro, built around a more integrated approach to audio in modern workflows. Designed to fit seamlessly into how creators shoot and move, it features a Customizable E-Ink Display that allows logos, names, or visual elements to be added, making the microphone part of the frame rather than something to hide. Through Insta360 Direct Connect, the system integrates directly with Insta360 cameras, reducing setup friction and removing the need for additional devices in fast-paced scenarios. A three-microphone array, combined with AI-powered processing and NPU-based noise reduction, helps maintain consistent audio clarity across changing environments, while internal recording provides an added layer of reliability when conditions are less controlled.
Additionally, the Insta360 GO 3S Retro Bundle was introduced, bringing a film inspired aesthetic to the compact POV camera. The bundle includes a Retro Viewfinder, stylized filters, and tactile accessories reminiscent of classic cameras, while maintaining the portability and functionality that defines GO 3S.
Not to mention the major update coming to Flow 2 and Flow 2 Pro, which was announced yesterday.
