Rakuten Kobo is giving the humble eReader a little more personality this spring, launching a new collection of limited-edition Collector Cases for the Kobo Clara and Kobo Libra Colour.
Personalisation is seemingly everywhere at the moment, from bag charms and sticker bombing through to bedazzling just about anything that will sit still long enough. Kobo is getting in on the action with cases designed to turn its eReaders into something of an accessory in their own right.
The new Collector Cases feature a mix of preppy stripes, handwritten-style details and appropriately bookish messaging, offering something a little more playful than the usual understated eReader cover.
Of course, they still have the rather more practical job of protecting your Kobo while you’re throwing it into a bag.
The cases are aimed at everything from the daily commute and long-haul flights through to poolside or beach reading as Australians head into spring — although we’d still suggest keeping the eReader itself out of the sand where possible.
Two versions are available, covering Kobo’s current Clara and Libra Colour models.
The Kobo Clara Colour/BW Collector Case is compatible with both the Kobo Clara Colour and Kobo Clara BW and is priced at A$44.95.
The larger Kobo Libra Colour Collector Case is designed for the Kobo Libra Colour and costs A$49.95.

It isn’t going to change how many books are sitting unread in your TBR pile, but at least the pile can now look a little more fashionable while you work your way through it.
