Midea has expanded its Australian laundry range with the launch of the new 210 Series Front Load Washer and 210 Series Heat Pump Dryer, targeting households looking to cut energy use without sacrificing convenience or garment care.
The new range combines features including automatic detergent dosing, cold-wash programs, app connectivity and Midea’s Power Mix technology, alongside a 10-star energy-rated heat pump dryer designed to provide lower-temperature drying throughout the year.
With household energy costs continuing to put pressure on Australians, Midea says the new range has been developed around changing laundry habits, including greater use of cold-water washing and line drying.

Midea 210 Front Load Washer
The 10kg Midea 210 Front Load Washer combines a BLDC inverter motor with a number of features designed to improve cleaning performance while reducing detergent, water and energy use.
Its Power Mix system pre-mixes detergent with water before it enters the drum, creating a foam designed to distribute detergent more evenly throughout the load. Midea says this can improve cleaning while reducing detergent residue on clothing.
An Auto Dispenser measures the load and automatically doses detergent, while integration with the Midea SmartHome app allows users to adjust dosing and receive alerts when detergent or fabric softener is running low.
Midea has also equipped the washer with its Storm Wash system, which uses five different water-flow patterns — soaking, rubbing, penetrating, swinging and waterfall — to move clothing through the wash.
For time-sensitive loads, a 15-minute Fast Cycle handles smaller washes, while Turbo Wash is designed to complete a larger everyday load in around an hour. Midea claims Turbo Wash can reduce washing time by up to 30 per cent.
Other features include steam sanitisation, a Tub Clean cycle using high-temperature water, Woolmark-certified wool care and a 365mm drum opening intended to make loading bulky items easier.
The washer also supports cold-water washing, which has the potential to reduce energy use compared with cycles requiring electrically heated water.
Midea 210 Heat Pump Dryer
Joining the washer is the 10kg Midea 210 Heat Pump Dryer, which carries a 10-star Australian energy rating.
Rather than using the high temperatures associated with conventional vented dryers, the MD210 uses heat-pump technology to recirculate warm air at lower temperatures. Midea says this reduces energy use while also helping protect garments against shrinking and heat damage.
Its dual-inverter heat-pump system can dry a 3kg load in a claimed 59 minutes, while built-in sensors monitor moisture levels and automatically adjust drying time and temperature.
A self-cleaning condenser uses collected water to flush lint from the condenser, reducing routine maintenance, while the dryer’s reversible door provides additional installation flexibility.
The MD210 also includes an anti-crease function that continues moving garments for either 30 or 120 minutes after a drying cycle finishes.
Dedicated programs include Wool, Kids Wear and Bed Linen, with UV and high-temperature sanitisation options also available.
Washer and dryer work together
When the MF210 washer and MD210 dryer are used together, Midea’s AutoLink feature can automatically select an appropriate drying program based on the wash cycle that has just completed.
Both appliances connect to the Midea SmartHome app, allowing users to receive notifications, manage programs and adjust selected settings remotely.
For households that primarily line-dry clothes, the heat-pump dryer could also provide a lower-energy fallback during winter or extended periods of wet weather rather than becoming the default drying method year-round.

The Midea 210 Series laundry range is available now through Bing Lee.
The Midea 210 Front Load Washer (MF210) has an RRP of A$1,099, while the Midea 210 Heat Pump Dryer (MD210) carries an RRP of A$1,449.
That puts the complete 10kg washer and heat-pump dryer pairing at $2,548 RRP.
