Smartphones have become remarkably capable cameras, but getting yourself — and everyone else — into the shot can still require some creative balancing. The KraftGeek JustTap Magnetic Phone Tripod aims to make that process considerably easier, combining a selfie stick, full-height tripod and magnetic phone mount in one highly portable package.
As the name suggests, one of the JustTap’s headline features is its tap-to-open mechanism. Tap the base against a surface and the tripod legs automatically deploy, while a MagSafe-compatible magnetic mount lets you snap a compatible phone into place without fiddling with clamps. The dual-axis holder offers 180-degree tilt and 360-degree rotation, making it suitable for everything from portrait video and group photos to overhead shots.
Despite collapsing down to just 33cm, the aluminium telescopic pole extends as high as 168cm. The tripod weighs approximately 455g, while its N52-grade magnetic mount is rated for loads of up to 2.5kg. There’s also a detachable, rechargeable Bluetooth remote with a claimed 10-metre range, compatible with Android 8.0 and later and iOS 10.0 and later.
