The Belkin Charging Grip for Nintendo Switch 2 solves a couple of genuine problems with a clever, well-integrated design.
The grips make extended handheld gaming more comfortable, the material remains reassuringly secure when hands get sweaty, and installation is refreshingly simple. Adding a removable 10,000mAh magnetic battery makes the package considerably more useful for long sessions or gaming away from a power point.
Archie’s perspective also reinforces something that’s easy to overlook with an accessory like this: the improvement isn’t restricted to adult-sized hands. Sometimes simply having something more substantial to hold makes gaming more comfortable.
The A$149.95 asking price is on the steep side for a Switch accessory. But if your Switch 2 spends a lot of time in handheld mode and both comfort and battery life are recurring frustrations, the Charging Grip combines solutions to both without turning the console into a mess of accessories and cables.
