Elegear Embroidered Comforter Set
If your current bedding is starting to feel a little tired or less than fresh, this set is a simple way to reset your space. It has that clean, put-together look that instantly makes a bed feel more inviting without requiring a full bedroom makeover. For me, I was looking for a comforter for my new sofa bed, something my overnight guests would appreciate that offered warmth, comfort and a classic aesthetic.
Inside the packaging, you get one comforter and two matching pillowcases. It is a straightforward three-piece set, but it is enough to completely change the look of your bed in one go. Everything coordinates well, so there is no need to mix and match or second guess styling. This set comes in two colour options, white and grey. Both are easy to work with and suit a wide range of interiors. I tested the white which feels crisp and hotel-like, while the grey looks to offer a slightly softer, more relaxed look. Neither feels overly trendy, which means they will not date quickly.
One of the standout details is the quilted stitching pattern. The surface features a subtle embroidered design that adds texture without being busy. The stitching is of a good quality (no loose threads or messy finishes), is evenly spaced and slightly raised, giving the comforter a softly structured look. It helps the filling stay evenly distributed and gives the whole piece a more finished, elevated appearance.
In terms of materials, the fabric is a seersucker – so for those of you who sew, you will know that this fabric has slight “give” or stretch to it. It is made from a lightweight blend of premium brushed microfibre, giving it a soft, smooth feel that is comfortable against the skin while still being breathable. You will not overheat in this product! It requires no ironing – seriously, who irons bedding anyway (I’m looking at you, fellow reviewer Lis P!), as it has a natural wrinkle effect to the fabric. The texture is genuinely lovely. It feels light and slightly silky without being slippery, making it just as suitable for sleeping as it is for styling the bed. When unpackaged, the bedding has no smell at all (unlike some other online purchases I have had to pop through the wash!).
It’s important to note that the doona/duvet cover is also very easy to care for. For something that gets a great deal of use, the last thing needed is to follow strict care instructions that require trips to the dry cleaner. The set washes well in the machine and handles the dryer (on low heat setting) without any issues. It holds its shape, does not bunch up, and comes out feeling just as soft as before. There is no fuss involved!
Another practical feature is how easy it is to use with a doona. The design allows you to insert a doona inside without a struggle, and it includes 8 internal corner ties and a zipper, creating secure closings that help keep everything in place. Once you’ve fiddled around for a bit working out how to get the doona inside the cover, the doona stays evenly distributed rather than shifting around inside, which means no constant adjusting or bunching during the night. I particularly liked how fluffy and inviting it looked when filled with a doona.
What makes it especially versatile is how well it works across seasons. It is light enough to use on its own during warmer months, but it also layers comfortably over a doona when the temperature drops or when you have the aircon cranked to 16 deg. That flexibility means you are not constantly swapping bedding in and out.
I tested this on my spare bed/sofa bed, but I can see that this would look just as lovely in your main bedroom or guest bedroom. The comforter compresses down easily when folded, so it does not take up unnecessary space in a cupboard. When you need it, it quickly brings a guest bed together and makes the room feel more considered.
Overall, this is a bedding set that balances style and practicality really well. It has a soft texture, a clean look, and enough detail to feel elevated, all without a hefty price tag. It is an easy upgrade that makes a noticeable difference in your space. It really is a lovely product!
