I must admit: reviewing a His and Her HEATED Jacket in the middle of a blazing hot Aussie summer sounds ridiculous.
Yet the timing is serendipitous for our North American audience, battling a ferocious winter season.
A battery powered jacket that can keep you warm and cosy for many hours seems like a solution in search of a problem. Mankind has lived for millennia without them.
Yet the need for warmth has always been there.
And now InoKraft sent us a men’s and a ladies Swap-On Heated Jacket.
But how do we test these in the summer conditions here in Western Australia?
Come along on the journey.
Back when I was a teenager with an interest in astronomy, I built my own reflector telescope.
Night after night I observed the moon and planets in the clear, cold European winter air.
And I longed for a heated bomber jacket, which the British developed for high-altitude bomber crews who lacked aircraft heating during the last World War…
Now that I’m in my still active but older years, I notice this phenomenon: the older I get the colder I feel.
This type of a heated jacket is also a godsend for the older generation!
More on that later.

Design & Aesthetics: The 2026 “Swapper” Style
My wife opened her box first when it was delivered on New Year’s Eve (my box came a few days later- so it is the 2026 model, I guess… 😊)
That box already raised our expectation level with some groovy graffiti scrawlings, welcoming us to the “Swapper” tribe.

The jacket is inside a zippable storage bag and when she took it out, she immediately noted the high quality of the jacket and hoodie.
And when she put it on it was a perfect fit for her svelte figure!
Please note: whilst we’re both proud to wear these jackets, I’ve opted to just show the models from the InoKraft site in the proper wintry settings. And they are in better shape than we are…
We ordered her jacket in size S, after checking out the various measurements on the site.
We opted black for both of our jackets, but Lavender Purple and Cream White are also available for the ladies.
I must say she looks fabulous in that jacket!

When it was my turn to unpack my jacket, I was hoping that it would also be the right size.
The measurements on the site suggested a 2XL would fit me best (even though my waistline needs to be trimmed somewhat).
Well, it was a near perfect fit!
And roomy enough to wear a sweater underneath.
And that’s not a bad thing as the jacket is 100% polyester which can irritate the bare skin if you’re sensitive to that.
This jacket is comfortable and fashionable.
There are some subtle design differences you note in the men’s and ladies’ versions.
The ladies’ styles are much more tailored, more elegant with slight differences in placement and shape of the pockets.
The guy’s jacket is more robust looking and very practical.
So, let’s examine the Heated Jackets in more detail.
The Swap-On 4V Battery Ecosystem

There are 2 decent size batteries that sit in a holder which will be connected to a cable in the inside pocket on the lower left.
The 4V Li-Ion batteries are 4Ah each.
Press the button on top to show the charge level of each unit and the button on the bottom of the holder shows the collective charge.
The USB-C charging makes it quick and easy.
These batteries are particularly effective in extreme cold.
Another advantage, when not needed to warm up the jackets, these can also be used to power other devices.
It would be great to see other devices, like small tools, becoming available on the InoKraft site and running on these handy batteries.
Just like the Ryobi and Milwaukee 4V small power tools.
I know that InoKraft is already working on bringing out some other products that will make use of this SWAP-ON 4V lithium battery ecosystem. Like a mini fan and – hopefully – a mini screwdriver.
And we’re looking forward to putting those to the test in future.
By the way, on the box it says that if you register the jacket, you qualify for an extra battery. Cool.
I checked out that process and the registration worked fine.

Performance: Instant Warmth on Demand
You probably can see where this is going, right?
We’re in the middle of a heatwave in the middle of summer on the West Australian south coast.
I’m in search of a cool room or ice bar.
The funky fact is: where we live is the shortest distance from Australia to Antarctica! Go figure…
However, we only have a short timeline to publish this article to make the most of InoKraft’s clearance sale.
So, the actual testing was limited to checking fitting and comfort, practicality of the jacket and seeing how fast it would heat up and able to sustain the various heat levels.
We already talked about the looks as well as fitting and comfort.

How practical is the Heated Jacket?
Let me count the ways.
- The jackets have a water-repellent outer shell.
- Heavy-duty YKK zippers are used throughout.
- Jackets can be washed at least 40 times.
- A detachable hoodie with a rain flap to shield eyes.
- Ribbed and adjustable cuffs
- 7 pockets on sleeves, sides and inside.
- And 3 levels of heating.
- Continuous thermal monitoring
Heating up is instantaneous. Like one second to seeing the premium carbon fibre panels come alive on my infra-red screen.
A few more seconds to start feeling the warmth. Warmth that can be sustained for up to 10 hours on the lowest setting.
On HIGH, the heating panels reach 122°F, on Medium that level is 113°F and on Low 104°F. For the metric masses: that’s a range between 40 and 50°C.
A simple press of the button on your left chest cycles between the settings and the colours indicate the level chosen.
We did some testing with our infrared camera, to show the location of the heat pads and their immediate effectiveness.
Impressive was how the max temp of around 50 degrees Celcius was reached in about a minute or so.

Health & Market Appeal: More Than Just a Luxury
Well, judging from the InoKraft website, the market is clearly focused on the out-and-about younger generation. Alpine adventurers, Sports supporters, Wet-Weather warriors.
Another natural market segment: the folk who work in cool and cold environments.
I also mentioned people like us who feel the cold much more than the younger generations.
And what about homeless people?
Touchy subject perhaps but I know they would be very grateful to have one of these wind-proof, rain-resistant and warmth-generating jackets!
And getting some juice to recharge those batteries is easier to source than fuel or firewood to stay warm.
Finally, when caught on the road in a blizzard or with other natural disasters and power outages, these heated jackets are a godsend.
The Conundrum
Since InoKraft kindly supplied us the jackets, I assumed that they also shipped to the continent of Australia (yes, I know, I’m trying to make our country sound even bigger).
Alas, I was just informed that they are currently unavailable in Oz.
Of course, there are ways around that, like getting Uncle Joe in Texas to ship you that belated Christmas present that you’re paying for yourself.
Another option would be to go through one of these websites that let you order in the US and then forward that to AU.
Normally, we would also recommend having a look at Amazon, both the US and AU site, to see if the product is listed and has international shipping.
Currently that is not an option for this year. Perhaps later.
Whilst we’re waiting for InoKraft to crack the Australian market, maybe they can bring out some cooling fans, powered by those very capable 4V batteries!
Availability & Final Verdict
We have no qualms in highly recommending these InoKraft Swap-On Heated Jackets.
