It never ceases to amuse me (Kevin) that Lee is reviewing yet another eScooter. This time around he’s got the Segway E3 Pro on hand.
Out of all the editors he is hands down the least sporty of all of us, perhaps that’s why he keeps getting eKickScooters to give him a … wheel up?
Segway or Ninebot: Understanding the Brand
You might have heard of Segway, they have been around since 1999. It’s kind of hard to miss the old Segway transporter when they were hot property. I can still remember seeing the footage of George Dub-ya tumbling off one at Camp David.
I myself took one for a spin around Queenstown many years ago. Good times.
These days, you are more likely to see Ninebot, or Segway-Ninebot as the branding. As you would see on the E3 Pro itself, it’s branded as Segway.
And on Lee’s noggin, the helmet is Ninebot branded.
The simple answer is Segway is the brand, Ninebot is the series name. So here we have the Segway-Ninebot E3 Pro.
On a Wheel and a Prayer: Lee’s Latest eScooter Review
The E3 Pro is what Segway considers as an entry-level eKickScooter pitched at urban commuters looking for an affordable and reliable scooter.
It is a convenient travel option for those who primarily use public transport, cycling or walking for daily commutes.
Without much ado, let’s see what Lee thinks of the Segway E3 Pro.
