The world’s first Qi2 25W Certified Collection

Belkin SmartProtect ensures reliability with a rigorous testing process and superior hardware design, providing wireless charging as fast as wired.

As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews, as our society moves further and closer to an “always connected” world, our devices are still running out of juice at the most inconvenient – or even disastrous times.
Even the latest generation smartphones can struggle seeing a full day with heavy usage. And while there are a number of battery pack options available, they aren’t for everyone.

Enter Belkin’s latest offering – the UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger (WIZ040), with wireless charging rates of up to 25W for an Apple devices, promising 0-50% charge of an iPhone in 25 minutes, and 0-80% charge of an Apple Watch Series 10 in 30 minutes.

But just how good is it, and should you switch your bulky cables for the artistic, folding design of the Ultra Charge Pro?

Unboxing and Design: Premium Aesthetics and Sturdy Build

Belkin have dropped their standard crisp white box (with green trim) for the UltraCharge Pro, going instead with a black box (and green trim) which (imo) doesn’t look as good. Unfortunately, half the box also seemed to be wasted space… so I’m hoping the ‘made with up to 85% post-consumer recycled materials’ statement also includes the box and packaging.

Inside the box is the Ultra Charge Pro, documentation, and a single power adapter for the wall. You shouldn’t really need the documentation, as everything is pretty self explanatory – you connect the cable to the device and the power point, and you’re good to go.

Belkin has managed to capture a premium design aesthetic for the UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1. The charger itself is a combination of chrome and a soft synthetic plastic, which comes in two colour options – charcoal or sand. I was given the black, but the sand colour looks just as good.

UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger Box

The base is weighted, which makes it extremely sturdy, and unlikely to be knocked over if bumped (or when fumbling to put your phone on charge in the middle of the night.)

The UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 ditches the flat charging pad style of the old BoostCharge Pro, instead going for a multi-tiered platform approach. The base charges the Airpods, the back charges the Apple Watch, and the top (which can be folded flat, or lifted vertically depending on your preference) is for charging your Iphone. When lifted vertically, it also means you can activate the standby feature in iOS.

There is one switch on the device, which turns on and off the charger’s fan. It’s useful for when you want to charge your phone quickly, but while not overly loud, it IS noticeable, so if charging overnight you might want to leave it switched off.

The wall plug is rated to 45W, which is nice (given the device is a fraction of that), and the device comes with a 1.5m cable, which is the perfect length – not too short to reach the wall from a bedside cable, but not too long that you have to bunch it up and secure it with a cable tie.

While the magnetic Qi2 charging pad DOES work with my Samsung Galaxy S25 Pro, the same cannot be said for the watch charging pad, with it refusing to seat my Samsung Galaxy Watch in any way that resulted in it being charged – so this is (As the packaging proclaims) made for Apple.

And that meant I had to call in my fiancé to test it out (because I refuse to use any fruit themed devices myself)

That said, Belkin offers a two-year warranty on the charger, so that should be some comfort.

Qi2 and MFA Certification: Safety and Next-Gen Speed

The Boost Charge Pro is MFA (Made for Apple) Certified. The MFA certification process is a series of compliance and safety tests (requiring that the manufacturer pay Apple royalties) to gain a badge on their packaging. It also means that the device has been extensively tested to ensure it’s not going to harm your pricey Apple devices.

In addition, Belkin includes their $2,500 Connected Equipment Warranty (CEW), providing repair or replacement of connected equipment damaged from surges or spikes that occur when they are properly connected to the charger. It’s an additional peace-of-mind guarantee.

The charger also meets the Qi2 wireless standard. Apple calls this “MagSafe” and has supported this standard since the iPhone 12. However, this standard also means that Google and Samsung’s new family of phones are supported, though only the Samsung S25 Pro and a small number of others can make use of the 25W charging capacity.

Performance Testing: 25W Fast Wireless Charging in Practice

The big selling point of the Belkin Ultracharge pro is the 25W fast wireless charging, and achieves this by aligning the charging coils in your phone and the charger with magnets.
However, your exact charging speed will depend on the standard of your device, and the environment you’re charging in (higher temperatures will result in slower charging speeds to avoid overheating your smartphone battery).

My Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra charged from 0 – 50% in 25mins, with the Belkin Ultracharge Pro’s internal fan on, and battery saver mode off on my Samsung.

My partner’s iPhone was noticeably slower, but she also has an older iPhone which only supports up to 15W with a MagSafe Charger. However, her Apple Watch (despite also being an older model) charges rapidly, and is good to go by the time she finishes getting ready for work.

Lastly, the earbud charging bay. Charging my wireless earpods (not Apple) got them from completely empty to 100% charge within a couple of hours.

This area IS big enough to support a second phone, but with just a 5W output it’ll take noticeably longer to charge the device. So if you are charging a second phone, expect to be overnight.

That said, a benefit of the charger is that it doesn’t drop the output of any of the charging pads when they are all in use, so you can get max output from them at all times.

And unlike the Belkin Boost Charge Pro which I reviewed back in 2022, the MagSafe charging point can be elevated to vertical, so you can continue streaming a movie while lying in bed with your phone charging (providing you have a Smartphone with Magsafe support.)

This feature also allows you to turn your Smartphone into an alarm clock, calendar, or digital photo frame for your desk.

Final Verdict: Is the UltraCharge Pro the Best Wireless Charger for Apple Users?

Belkin are known to create well-designed chargers, and the UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Dock is no different. It’s perfectly tailored to support and charge all of your Apple gear.
And Belkin justifies the price tag with their power output, and their Connected Equipment Warranty.

My biggest gripe remains the lack of an LED indicator light for each of the charging pucks to confirm when the device was fully charged at a glance. The AirPods pad has one, but my personal preference (and something I’m used to on the wireless charger I regularly use with my Samsung) is to have an indicator for the phone too.

Overall, if you have the range of Apple products (iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods) and are looking for a good, quality charger for the home or office, I’d recommend taking a look.

The UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger with Qi2 25W has a RRP A$219.95 and is available in Sand or Charcoal. There is a discount worth about three coffees on Amazon at the moment, down to A$203.17.

I’d like to thank Belkin for giving me the UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 magnetic charger.
