The enigma of Nothing, when their approach and design screams everything.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro has been in our hands for a few weeks to really try it out, with both Lee and me (Kevin) having a good go at it.
There is a lot going for this mid-range phone, boasting an advanced triple-camera system with optical zoom, a powerful Snapdragon processor, a brighter, more responsive display, and Nothing OS innovations.
One thing that must be pointed out is the Glyph design which is so much more than the average bland plain back cover of pretty much every phone.
Take a look at Lee’s video review here.
I was quite impressed with the quality of the camera set up. Here is a selection of photos I took on a trip to Sydney a few weeks ago.
Essential Space is currently on Early Access on Phone (3a) or Phone (3a) Pro. It’s a nice but not quite fulsome feature. I think the bones are in place and it is a matter of time for more and refined functionalities to come in.
Other thoughts I had on the Nothing (3a) Pro is that the Glyph can be so much more powerful with multi colour LEDs, or at least one of the LEDs to be multi colour.
The one thing I have to note is that the phone is top heavy with the camera module. It slipped out of my pocket when I was jumping into my car one morning and tumbled to the ground. That lead me to looking for a phone case for it and there is very limited choices for it.
