Robotic pool cleaners have become increasingly popular, promising to take the hard work out of keeping a pool clean. The MOVA Diver A10 is a cordless robotic pool cleaner designed to clean the floor, walls and waterline. After using it across multiple cleaning cycles and testing its various cleaning modes and features, here’s what I found.

MOVA Diver A10: First Impressions and Setup
The MOVA Diver A10 arrives with both a quick start guide and a comprehensive user manual, making setup straightforward even if you’ve never owned a robotic pool cleaner before. Once fully charged, it’s simply a matter of selecting your preferred cleaning mode and placing it into the pool.
The robot itself has a little bit of weight to it. It’s certainly not difficult to lift, but it’s not something I’d want to carry too far. Thankfully, getting it in and out of the pool is easy, particularly with the supplied retrieval hook that attaches to a standard pool cleaning pole.
My existing pool cleaner is a traditional suction cleaner (or “creepy crawly”), so throughout this review you’ll see a few comparisons based on my experience using both systems.

MOVA Home App, Cleaning Modes and Scheduling
The MOVA Home app was simple to connect and provides a range of useful features, including firmware updates, cleaning progress, battery status, Wi-Fi management and various preference settings.
You can also change between Floor Only, Walls Only or Floor & Walls cleaning. During testing I also explored features available through the app, including Auto-parking and Dual Waterline Scrubbing.
The MOVA Home app lets you choose between the Diver A10’s different cleaning modes and check its battery level.
One feature I found particularly useful was being able to monitor the robot while it was cleaning. The app displays the cleaner’s progress throughout the cleaning cycle, allowing me to check in without having to walk outside. I also received notifications when the cleaning cycle had finished and when the battery was running low, which I found to be a handy addition. The app also includes a helpful support section should you need assistance.

The app even has a smart scheduling feature where you can set up to 4 cleaning days, times and particular tasks. Pretty handy for when you are time poor, just make sure it’s charged.
As someone who’s a little over needing an app for everything these days, I really appreciated that the robot can be operated directly from the unit itself. The app adds plenty of useful features, but it isn’t a requirement every time you want to clean the pool. Cleaning modes can be selected directly on the robot, so if you’re already outside you can simply turn it on, choose your mode and let it get to work.

How Well Does the MOVA Diver A10 Clean?
My test pool is a saltwater pebblecrete pool measuring approximately 110 square metres and 50,000 litres, giving the A10 a reasonably large area to cover during a single cleaning cycle. I tested the cleaner over multiple cleaning cycles using different cleaning modes to see how it performed.
Overall, the floor cleaning was very good. Sometimes it’s easier to show than tell. In the video below, you can clearly see the A10 leaving a clean path behind as it moves through a section of built-up dirt on the pool floor, collecting leaves, other debris as it moves.
Wall cleaning was also impressive. Compared to my existing suction cleaner, which rarely cleans the walls particularly well, the MOVA made a noticeable difference. I was actually quite impressed with how well it cleaned the waterline. Although I couldn’t really notice any difference between using the Dual Waterline Scrubbing setting and leaving it off, it still removed a surprising amount of the built-up waterline mark.
Like every robotic pool cleaner I’ve used, there were still a few areas that needed attention afterwards, particularly around the steps, beach entry and corners. It travelled around these sections but didn’t clean them perfectly. Having said that, these are areas where many robotic pool cleaners traditionally struggle, so I wasn’t overly surprised. My creepy crawly also doesn’t clean the beach entry particularly well, although it does manage the steps slightly better. While the Mova attempted to clean the step/seat area below, it managed one trip then obviously didn’t return for a second attempt.

Interestingly, during later runs the robot travelled over areas it had previously missed, suggesting the AI navigation doesn’t follow exactly the same path every time. It’s possible that multiple cleaning cycles would eventually provide complete coverage, however personally I wouldn’t want to remove the robot, recharge it and run another full cleaning cycle just to pick up a few remaining spots.
I was keen to check the debris basket after the initial clean. The first thing I noticed was just how much debris it collected despite my pool looking reasonably clean beforehand. The filter basket contained fine dust, dirt, leaves, small sticks and (of course) dog hair, showing that it was picking up much more than what was immediately visible.
Cleaning and Maintaining the MOVA Diver A10
One of my favourite parts of the MOVA Diver A10 is just how easy it is to maintain. Removing the filter basket takes only seconds, and emptying it is as simple as tipping out the debris and giving it a quick rinse under the garden hose. There’s no complicated disassembly or fiddly components to deal with.
The MOVA Diver A10 can be operated directly from the unit, so you don’t need to open the app every time you clean the pool.
Battery Life and Runtime
Charging is equally straightforward, although it’s worth remembering that, unlike a traditional suction cleaner that works whenever your pool pump is running, this is a cordless cleaner. That means you do need to think ahead a little by charging it between cleaning sessions.
As a cordless cleaner, the Diver A10 needs to be removed from the pool and recharged between cleaning sessions.
The MOVA Diver A10 is advertised as offering up to 240 minutes of runtime. During my testing, I achieved up to 210 minutes of cleaning before the battery became depleted. While this was a little short of the maximum advertised runtime, it was still enough to clean the majority of my 110-square-metre pool in a single cycle. As the battery starts running low, the indicator light changes to orange before the robot completes its cleaning cycle.

AI Navigation, Auto-Parking and Shallow Water Performance
Using the Auto-parking setting, both cleaning cycles finished with the robot positioned near the edge of the pool, making retrieval simple using the supplied hook attachment. I appreciated not having to fish it out from the middle of the pool.
During my initial testing, I did encounter an issue in the pool’s ultra-shallow beach-entry area. When using Walls Only and Floor & Walls modes, the A10 could stop after climbing into water shallower than its minimum 30cm working depth. DRN raised the issue directly with MOVA and, while it was being investigated, we held off completing the review.
MOVA explained that the behaviour was linked to the Diver A10’s out-of-water auto-stop, a safety feature designed to prevent the robot from continuing to run on dry land. In very shallow beach-entry areas, the sensor could interpret the low water level as the cleaner being out of the pool and trigger the safety stop.
MOVA subsequently released an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update designed to improve how the A10 detects these shallow-water conditions while retaining its out-of-water safety protection. After installing the update, I returned to the same area of the pool and retested it in Walls Only mode. This time, the A10 climbed into the beach-entry area, successfully navigated the shallow water and continued cleaning without stopping.
It’s a meaningful improvement, particularly for pools with shallow entries like mine, and I was impressed by how quickly MOVA responded to our feedback and addressed the issue through a firmware update.
MOVA Diver A10: My Experience and Verdict
There’s a lot to like. It’s easy to set up and use. The app is simple to navigate, the filter basket is incredibly easy to empty and clean, and I loved finally having a cleaner that could tackle the walls and waterline. It’s a solid workhorse.
One adjustment for me is the change from a traditional ‘set and forget’ suction cleaner to a cordless robotic cleaner. With my creepy crawly, I simply leave it in the pool and it runs whenever the pool pump is on. The MOVA needs to be removed after each clean, the filter emptied if required, and the unit put on charge ready for next time. None of this is difficult, in fact, it only takes a few minutes, but it is another routine to get used to. Based on how well it navigates and cleans I do think this is a trade-off I’m ready to make.
Overall, I think the MOVA Diver A10 has plenty of strengths, it’s the kind of powerful unit I feel I have full trust in. The floor clean, wall scaling and easy to maintain nature make it a win in my books. The fact that I don’t have to use the app to get it running, is a bonus I love. I highly recommend this unit. It delivers.
