About a month ago, Chris and I shared our first impressions of Samsung’s 27″ Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF. It was the first time we had an OLED monitor on our desks, and we used it the way most people actually would – for work during the day (writing reviews, in our case), games at night, and everything in between. The appeal was obvious to us straight away, but so were some of the trade-offs that don’t exactly show up on a spec sheet (and certainly not on marketing material).
After spending more time with it, we’ve put together a video talking through the things that matter most when you’re considering an OLED monitor. Brightness, text clarity, burn-in, pricing, and where the technology currently sits all come into play. If OLED has been on your radar – or just something you’ve been curious to try – this is a look at what living with one is actually like right now.
We would like to thank Samsung for loaning this monitor for review.
The Samsung 27″ Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF is available to purchase from the official Samsung website for A$1699.
