You might be picking up on a theme here, but it’s true what they say, I’m a sucker for a good vacuum cleaner (see what I did there!) I’ve had the Tineco A30S Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner for a few weeks now and wanted to give you a review of what it’s like for a bloke with a Jack Russell Terrier, renowned for dropping a boat-load of hair, and a wife with long hair that ends up tangled around everything!
I’ve whipped up a quick video on my favourite feature, I mean it’s a great unit – for an inexpensive option to have on the wall, ready to go at a moments notice, this unit has many great features, but I also have dark wood floors, so the headlights are magic when it comes to seeing where I need to vacuum, and for when I need to do a quick vac under the kids beds or other furniture. (This is usually taken care of by Rocky, but sometimes you just have to drop everything and do it yourself)
Here are the main specifications of the Tineco A30S Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner:
- Runtime: Up to 60 minutes on a full charge. This depends on the type of use of course.
- Power: Provides a 160W suction that swiftly captures dust, debris, and pet hairs, ensuring thorough cleaning.Suitable for everyday cleaning on both carpets and hard floors.
- Dustbin Capacity: Large! A very useful of 1L.
- LED Lights: On the cleaner head for better visibility in low-light areas, and they work well!
- Tineco PureCyclone Tech: A30S powerfully separates air and dust to avoid pre-filter clogging or suction loss, ensuring strong and fade-free suction power.
- 5-Stage Filtration: Captures up to 99.97% of dust and debris as small as 0.3μm, ensuring a fresher and healthier home environment.
Now, originally, this Tineco A30S was going to be my “light useage” stick vac to have around for a bit of Jack Russell hair (which tbh isn’t really light useage!) But it wasn’t going to be my main vac and I was just happy to have it on the wall, within reach and ready to go at a moment’s notice! Well, since I started this review (sorry! it’s been a process!) we had our main Vac die – and to be fair, I purchased that old girl when I was 30, I’m now 50… (It was one of those fancy cyclone ones that I brought back with me from the UK) …I figured rather than buy something BIG to replace it, I’d slot the A30S into active duty and see how it went… The answer, in short, is LIKE A CHAMP! I have one dark blue sofa that the pup sneaks onto, wooden floors and a big hairy grey rug (that old-skool 1″ deep shag…I know I know) and the Tineco handles it like a champ!
One other big win since moving it into full-time duty, is that my significant other has been using and commented how well it handles her long hair, and that she hasn’t had to stop and de-tangle a typically matted powerhead of carnage! The A30s has some cheeky little well located blades inside the head that slice and dice hair as it starts to wrap around things, and while I couldn’t see it working very well, it was great to have confirmation that it actually does. Good job on this one, Tineco!
In summary, I’ve been and continue to be very impressed with the Tineco A30s which is, by comparison to many, a good budget friendly option. Only thing I’d like is a “you’re close to running out of battery, do the messiest bits – quick!” light / display, but understand that it’s a less $$$ model, so I’ll just be happy with what I have.
The Tineco A30s has a RRP of $319, but is currently on a limited time deal on Amazon for A$268.98 at time of publish.
