Varex Muffler from Xforce

Written by Joe Baker on . Posted in Industry News

Variable sound muffler

Well I don’t care how old or young you are, if you have a nice car then it really has to have a nice note as well.

But if you’re a young bloke or a night owl how do you get home in the wee hours without disturbing the neighbours or even the wife.

Well it seems like the guys from www.xforce.com.au have the answer, they have designed a muffler system that you can vary, hence the name Varex, altered by remote so you can very quietly sneak home. They have been kind enough to agree to send me two for my 700 hp Supercharged AC Cobra lets see how they go at calming “the Beast”.

So stay within earshot and we will look at them in the next week or so!

Are you someone who has taken some important or nostalgic videos on the old VHS medium, and now can’t watch them at all as you don’t have a VHS recorder?

Well you're in luck as www.oo.com.au has been nice enough to send us a machine that will convert it all to DVD.

According to the Spec sheet, that’s not all the machine can do, but you will have to wait as we put it through the long check list we have for it.

We expect it to arrive in a few days, and then we will copy some important VHS family videos from the dungeon to DVD and give a full report on just how successful we have been.

Innovate SSI-4 (4 Channel Simple Sensor Interface)

Written by Joe Baker on . Posted in Industry News

Read more: Innovate SSI-4 (4 Channel Simple Sensor Interface)Well it was interesting enough to put the Innovate LM-2 through it's paces but  we will soon have another versatile product courtesy of the same company to trial.

We understand at the present time that this product can be a stand alone input device for logging data directly into a laptop or tower PC as well as  being able to be used with any other MTS compliant device.

Why we are excited is that this device has Channel 1 as a direct input for RPM by default and if you have read our review on the LM-2  AFR meter (on this site), then you would know that accurate RPM on a stubborn car with no OBD was the only concern with an otherwise "spot on product".

Well we now have it so over the next few days or so we wii test it and produce the review, we are just waiting on one more answer from Innovate regarding the inductive clamp . It's done see reviewed!
