Who is Digital Reviews Network?

Digital Reviews Network (DRN) is a proudly Australian-owned publication with a primarily Oceanic audience, occasionally stretching further into the international sphere. Started in 2002 and having evolved since, the site is well established and well-respected and provides an honest voice to its readers. We pride ourselves on fair, balanced, in-depth articles, with the right balance of technical detail and layman user experience.

DRN, as the name implies, has a technology focus. However we like to explore the complex interactions between technology and their impact, and ways to stay both physically and mentally healthy. We cover the technical standpoint but pride ourselves in giving an honest end-user perspective and put ourselves in their shoes. Simply, if we haven’t lived with a product, we won’t review it.

With Kevin Cheng taking over as Editor-In-Chief and owner in 2020, we have seen an exciting group of new writers join the team. It now features amateur gamers, professional photographers, automation and mechatronics engineers, postgraduate writers, and software engineers, specialists in criminal law, politics, sports, automobiles, whisky, technology and social media. Within our team of eight we have well over 100 years’ experience working for large publications such as DigitalRev, the ABC, DIYPhotography, dPS, and multinational corporate marketing, to name a few.

We are proud to be constantly honing our voice and have recently added some amazingly talented and experienced writers who increase the diversity of our perspective. This includes two strong female voices, a perspective which is often lacking in the tech sphere. You can learn more about our team of editors on our About Page and our Editorial Code here.

We average in excess of 45,000 unique visitors per month. We have been seeing a significant uptake of views on the site since the ownership change and as we are expanding our reach with new voices. Since taking ownership, the team has been hard working to further our reach, including the launch of a new logo and website in January 2021 and re-configuring our social marketing strategies.

As technology continues to evolve at breakneck speed and the world itself changes (especially with us being trapped at home more and more), we look forward to covering more products in 2021 and beyond.
