Adding value to their customers with a speed boost, felix mobile has flicked the switch on a major 5G upgrade on its capped data plans. This superior performance comes at no extra cost for customers.

The speed and performance capabilities of 5G are available today for felix customers, providing faster speeds on its $25/25GB and $30/50GB mobile plans.

felix’s great value, $40 Unlimited data plan will also benefit from the performance capabilities of the free 5G upgrade, while speeds will remain at up to 20Mbps.

To access the new capabilities of 5G, customers will require an active felix service, a 5G compatible device and be in a 5G coverage area.

To celebrate the launch of 5G coming to felix, the cost of the mobile provider’s $25/25GB plan has been slashed to just $10 per month, for the first three months.

The launch of felix’s 5G upgrade also coincides with a new, major retail expansion into Woolworths and Officeworks, marking a significant step in making affordable, more environmentally responsible mobile solutions a mainstream choice for more Australians than ever before.

We’re thrilled to bring the lower latency and superior performance of 5G, and faster speeds on selected plans, to our felix community,” said Kelly Beater, head of felix mobile.

We are always looking at new ways to improve our customers’ experience, and with this 5G upgrade and major retail expansion, we are providing Australians a simple way to access great speeds, value and service that don’t cost the earth.

The move into Woolworths and Officeworks follows felix’s first push into mass retail when its mobile plans – featuring great value and loads of data – became available in Coles supermarkets around the nation in March.

With Woolworths and Officeworks included in its retail distribution network, felix mobile plans are now available at more than 2,300 retail points around the nation.

The importance of felix’s move into mass retail was underscored earlier this year when it released national research showing that although 83 per cent of respondents believe it is important to choose more environmentally sustainable products, 40 per cent of those surveyed believe doing so remains financially out of reach.

We want to myth-bust the notion that environmentally responsible products and services cost more. Our expansion into Woolworths and Officeworks is a significant step towards this mission, showing that with felix, you don’t need to choose between your cost or conscience,” Ms Beater said.

As part of its environmental commitment, felix plants one tree per customer for every month they are with felix. With over 1.8 million trees already donated globally, felix is on track to achieve its target of two million trees by the end of 2024. This initiative not only contributes to reforestation efforts, combating the effects of climate change, it also has tangible biodiversity and community
impacts.

felix is powered by the Vodafone Network which has 5G network coverage in selected areas of more than 3000 suburbs across Australia and continues to be rolled out in selected areas of major cities.
