Optus and Pentanet Limited have announced the signing of a strategic partnership to deliver the NVIDIA GeForceNOW cloud gaming service to Optus customers, to provide an unparalleled cloud gaming adventure for Aussies.

Cloud gaming is an emerging segment of the multi-billion-dollar global gaming market which delivers customers a more flexible and convenient solution for gaming in the home and on the go. Cloud gaming requires high speed, low latency connectivity and is a key consumer use-case for 5G.

Optus and Pentanet

 

Optus customers will gain premium access to Pentanet’s services through an exclusive telco partnership with NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, which will be integrated into the Optus SubHub subscription management platform.

This collaboration will provide Optus SubHub customers with a revolutionised gaming experience by delivering one of Australia’s most powerful 5G enabled cloud gaming systems with cutting-edge technology and unmatched performance. The service will be available to Optus customers later this year via Optus’ SubHub platform.

This collaboration will provide Optus customers with the simplicity and flexibility of a cloud gaming experience, underpinned by the superior performance of the Optus 5G network and enhanced by innovative Optus Living Network features.

Pentanet and Optus will work towards a program that enables a superior experience for GeForce NOW users, with a specific focus on 5G and the GeForce NOW user management platform, CloudGG. The service will be available to Optus customers from the second half of 2023.

Through this agreement, GeForce NOW will be integrated into the Optus SubHub subscription management platform, enabling access for Optus’ customers in Australia.
