The world’s first Neural-Net Compute-in-Memory (CIM) AI audio chip, Anker‘s THUS, fundamentally changes how artificial intelligence runs inside consumer devices.
Rather than sending data back and forth between memory and processor, the way virtually every modern computing system has operated for decades, THUS performs AI computation directly where the data already lives. The result is dramatically lower power consumption, faster AI processing and the ability to run significantly larger neural networks inside ultra-compact devices previously considered too constrained for advanced AI.

For decades, modern computing has relied on the John von Neumann architecture, where memory and processing exist separately. While effective for traditional computing, the model becomes increasingly inefficient for AI workloads, which require constant access to enormous volumes of neural network parameters. That movement of data consumes energy, creates latency and limits the size of AI models that can operate inside battery-powered consumer devices. THUS™ solves this problem using a compute-in-memory architecture inspired by the human brain, where storage and computation happen simultaneously in the same place.
By embedding AI computation directly inside NOR Flash memory cells, THUS eliminates the need for constant data transfer between memory and processor, allowing AI models to remain stationary while computation occurs locally.

Designed to demonstrate the real-world capabilities of THUS, both models combine neural-network audio processing, adaptive environmental awareness and intelligent voice technologies to improve call clarity, noise cancellation and personalised listening.
Whisper Clear Calls Delivers AI-Powered Voice Isolation
Powered by the THUS AI Chip, both models introduce Whisper Clear Calls, a next-generation voice isolation system that uses neural-network processing and advanced sensor fusion to maintain call clarity in noisy environments. The system separates speech from background noise in real time while bone conduction sensors capture the physical vibration of the user’s voice, helping isolate speech even in unpredictable acoustic environments such as airports, public transport and busy streets.
The technology contributes to both models being recognised as the World’s Clearest Earbuds for Calls, with the Liberty 5 Pro achieving a Guinness World Record for call clarity.
Adaptive ANC 4.0 Enhances Real-Time Noise Cancellation
Both models feature Soundcore’s Adaptive ANC 4.0, an intelligent active noise cancellation system
designed to continuously analyse and adapt to changing environments. Using an eight-microphone array, the system processes audio data up to 384,000 times per second, dynamically adjusting noise reduction in real time across low, mid and high-frequency environmental sound.
The result is more consistent and responsive noise cancellation whether commuting, travelling or
working in busy public environments.
AI Audio Features Personalise Listening Experiences
The Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max also introduce a suite of AI-driven listening features designed to personalise and streamline the user experience.
HearID 5.0 creates a customised EQ profile based on an individual hearing analysis, tailoring audio
performance to the listener. AI Sound Enhancement uses neural-network reconstruction technology to restore up to 65 per cent of audio detail typically lost through Bluetooth compression, improving clarity and depth across streamed content.
Additional smart features include:
- Voice interaction with up to 20 built-in commands and a 0.91-second response time
- Transparency Mode for enhanced environmental awareness
- Easy Chat, which automatically pauses playback during conversation and resumes once complete
Liberty 5 Pro Max Introduces AI Note-Taker Smart Case
The Liberty 5 Pro Max expands the THUS AI experience with a redesigned smart charging case featuring a 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen, while the Liberty 5 Pro includes a compact 0.96-inch TFT display.
The Pro Max also debuts AI Note-Taker functionality, allowing users to record meetings directly from the charging case without requiring a phone connection.
Integrated AI capabilities include:
- Automatic transcription via the Soundcore app
- Speaker identification and action item extraction
- AI translation support through both the charging case and earbuds
The Liberty 5 Pro also supports AI translation, accessible directly through the earbuds.
